    Re: career after bsc chemistry

You can either go for the higher studies or go for the job options. For the higher study aspirant the best option available is the M. Sc course. There are different specialization areas like Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Drug Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry etc. Post graduate diploma in Analytical chemistry is also an option for you. If you are interested in the management oriented profile you can select the MBA program. The B. Sc chemistry graduate can go for the M. Sc in Biotechnology courses. Many students also take the MCA program after the graduation in the same. For every masters course you have to take the entrance exams conducted by the institutes/universities. The graduates can be employed in the areas like hospitals, laboratories, chemical industries, medical research oil industry etc. There are many UPSC/PSC exams conducted for the graduates. You are also eligible to take the bank exams too.

you should go for further studies like MBA,M.Sc and MCA etc.
but if you want to do work then i think teaching would be the best job for you at this stage.
I think you should do both the things together.
You can also complete your master Degree and also can ear money by teaching.

Oh dear it dishearten to hear that you missed 1st division just because of a percent.
If that 1 percentage was with you then more avenues of opportunities will open up.

However, 59% is also not bad to opt for further higher education.

Career opportunities are there after B.sc also but very limited one and also less pay.
So, at present the best option is for you to opt for M.sc with specialization in any good branch
of Chemistry. Specialising in any of the followings is a good option -

    Organic Chemistry
    Analytical Chemistry
    Inorganic Chemistry
    Biochemistry

M.sc (Organic Chemistry): This degree can get you in Chemical Industries, generally students find jobs in Caustic Plants, Petroleum refinery and other Chemical manufacturing companies.

M.sc (Analytical Chemistry): This degree can get you a better job in Pharmaceutical sector for works involving coding, absorption etc. besides this find good jobs as in Laboratories for manitanance and suffient running of Lab. etc.

M.sc (Inorganic Chemistry): This degree can land you in Metallurgy industry, rubber and alloy and gas plants etc.

M.sc (Biochemistry): This has better scope in research but for that you will need a PhD, however can get into Biotechnology sector, Pharma sector, agricultural research centres etc.
