    Re: What can I do to become an IAS officer after 10th?

    You will have to complete at least graduation to become an IAS officer. So for applying to the graduation course you need to complete 12th standard first. However along with pursuing these courses you should start preparing for the entrance exam. Begin preparation for the prelims. This is the aptitude oriented test. So it is important that you prepare in areas like verbal ability, mathematics, logical reasoning and especially GK. Once you enroll for the graduation course start preparing for the mains. Along with this make sure you continue updating yourself for the GK section. Also solve past papers regularly for the prelims.

    You have to first finish
    Inter and
    Degree

    To become IAS officer, you need to get a good rank in UPSC civil services exams.

    Being an IAS officer, there is a lot more power and control you have so that you can be part of Emerging India!!! Getting into the IAS is not that easy! There is a very competitive “one year long” exam! To get into the IAS, you probably will have to try more than once before you succeed. And even if you clear the exam, then you have to get a very good score to qualify for the IAS!
    Dates:
    The “Preliminary Examination” is usually held in May / June
    The “Main Examination” in October / November

    Attempts for different Categories::

    If you belong to the “Open Category” you can give the exam 4 times maximum!
    If you belong to the “OBC” you can give the exam 7 times.
    If you belong to the “SC/ST” you can give the exam as many times as you want. There is no restriction on the number of times.

    Languages any one paper 300 marks from the given below

    Arabic , Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, English, French, German Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Pali, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Sanskrit, Santali Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu

    Exam pattern:

    http://jhunjhunu.info/Education/medi...%20pattern.JPG

    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    You must be a citizen of India.
    Age limits:
    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)

    You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)

    So, first finish degree then go for the exams. All the best

    Hi friend,

    To become IAS you should first focus on studies which you are going through.
    I mean try to perform better in 10th and then 12th and after that take admission in any decent graduation course.

    I will try to give emphasis on, Going for better courses in Graduation as it will give you a better platform , if you are unable to perform well in Civil services examination.

    Civil services examination has Three rounds :

    >> CSAT

    >> Interview,

    Once you clear all these with rank under 150 you will become a IAS officer
