you can join into criminology ,the basic qualification for this course is a pass in


class 10+2 with in arts or science subjects .


Even if you have a background in law, you are eligible for special courses in criminology .

There are several graduate and post graduate courses in criminology. You have not specified which stream that you have passed the 12th class. You need to pass in either Science or arts stream for joining the graduation course in criminology. For pursuing the post graduation in criminology, you need to either have a graduation in the same subject area or a degree in arts or science streams. The notifications regarding the various job openings in different departments related to criminology will be published. You can apply to the openings. You can get job opportunities in areas such as CBI, Police, and Intelligence Bureau etc. You need to attend the written examinations for entering in to these departments.

as you told that you want to be a criminologist, you should do B.sc. in criminology after completion of your 12th with science Stream...further after completion of graduation in B.sc. criminology, you should go for master degree course, M.sc. criminology course as post graduation...
so you can be a criminologist...
further you can do ph.d. also on any topic on criminology subjects...

If you are planning for a Bachelors degree in Criminology, then you must have completed your higher secondary schooling in Arts or Science.
The eligibility norm for a Masters program is a graduate degree in Arts or Science with 50% marks aggregate.

A criminologist, like a psychologist, must be interested in human nature and behavior. One who is interested in this career must have creativity, analytical thinking capacity, problem solving ability, public speaking skill and ability to convince people. A criminologist must be able to express ideas and concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally. A criminologist may need to address large groups of people and demonstrate good public speaking skills as well.
