There are many courses which you can opt after completing your engineering. You should select a higher study course based on your interest and the skills. If you are interested you can join for M.E/M.Tech course. You should attend the GATE exam as part of this. If you want to build your career in the field of management, MBA is a good option. You should attend CAT/MAT/CMAT or similar kind of entrance exams to apply for this course. The score that you secure in the entrance exam will be the basis of selection for the course. You should evaluate the scope of each course separately and take a final decision on the basis of that.

    Hi Buddy,

You seem to be confused as you haven't planned your career properly from the beginning of your Graduation career. After completion of BE in Mechanical Engineering you can have various options open to you some of them are

    JOB :

--> If you have secured good marks in your graduation then you can apply for various Public sector, Private sector, Banking sector jobs depending upon your interest.
--> Some of the public sector jobs are BHEL, BEL, HMT, Civil Sercives, Railways, etc.....
--> Some of the private sector jobs that recruit mechanical engineers as well into software companies include IBM, CTS, TCS, HCL, DELL, Wipro, Infosys, etc.....
--> Last but not the least banking sector offers job in the post of probationary officer in public and private sector banks such as SBI, SBH, Andhra Bank, ICICI, HDFC, Axis Bank, etc.....

    Higher Education :

If you are interested in studying further then you can opt out for the courses such as M.S, M.Tech and M.B.A.

--> M.S and M.Tech are almost identical except from the fact that M.S in completed in foreign country where as M.Tech is completed within our country, you must choose a specialization and based on that specialized subject your future will depend.
--> M.B.A is more over a different course that is no where related to mechanical engineering, it also has various specializations to choose similar to M.S/M.Tech the specialized subject shapes your career in future.

Think properly before you come to a conclusion as every step you take now will have a severe effect on your career in future.

    All the best.

Re: What can I do after completion of B.E(Mechanical) course?

Good to see that you have completed your Bachelor course as Engineer in the Mechanical branch.Basically you have two options.Either you can go for the Job or for the Higher studies.I think the higher study option is more good for a good future. The students belonging from these fields either go for the M.tech course or go for the MBA course.

It depends on the student's interest to opt the course. It depends on the personal liking towards the course to opt any course.Personal liking as well as the interest varies from person to person.

If you are interested in the business and management field then you can go for the MBA course. It will be good to appear in the entrance examination like MAT/XAT/CAT etc for getting the top most colleges in India.
    Or,
If you want to continue your study in the same field in which now you are studying, Then It will be the good option for you to opt the M.tech course. For this course it will be the good to appear in the GATE examination via this examination you can get the good college in India.
