    What are the benefits for writing IES Exam after completing B.Tech with EEE stream?

    sir, my name is venkatesh am an electrical engineering student .i want to know about the benifits by writing the exam of IES

    If you want to become a public servant and to gain a government job then you should write IES!! It provides you the better job security,scope and also financial status for you if you once get the job in IES!! I will tell you all the details of IES along with the benefits.

    IES is conducted by UPSC in June or July for selecting almost 250 to 300 engineers for govt of india.



    The following branch students are Eligible:::
    1. Civil Engineering
    2. Mechanical
    3. Electrical
    4. Electronics and Tele communication

    Eligibility:

    • If you have any engineering from above 4 branches or
    • M.Sc(Electonics/Wireless Communication/Radio Physics/Radio Engineering)
    • You must have a bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized university.
    • Your age should be between 21 to 30years.
    • For SC/ST - 21 to 35years
    • For OBC -21 to 33years
    • For PD - 21 to 40years
    • You can write IES even if you are in final year.
    • You should be Indian.


    Exam pattern for you in IES:




    Scheme of IES Examination:

    • Written Examination is of total 1000 Marks
    • Paper I (Objective) General Ability Test
    • Paper II & III (Objective) is on your subject
    • Paper IV & V ( conventional ) will focus in detail on your specialization subject


    You should write a personality test if you are qualified and this will consist of 200 marks.
    Question Papers Range:

    * Subject Objective Papers contain 120Mins(2hrs Duration) to identify 120questions.
    * No calculators are allowed.
    * Questions will not be SO PROBLEMATIC.
    * They will ask you more on BASICS and their APPLICATIONS.
    * So,you should have more grip over them.

    or
    Masters degree in any branch of Science.
    >>Your should be in between 21 and 30 years.

    IES exam is conducted by the IES every year.

    Eligibility criteria of IES:-

    Students with four year B.Tech degree can apply for this exam.
    Students with M.Sc degree in areas like electronics, radio physics, radio engineering or wireless communication can also apply.

    At the most you can give the exam for four times.

    Selection procedure includes written test and personality test.

    Written test pattern:-

    Paper I-(objective type)
    Part A: general english
    Part B: general studies

    Part II & III- (objective type)
    civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering.

    Part IV & V: (descriptive type)
    civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering.

    Total marks for written exam is 1000 marks.

    Hi......
    After B.tech for IES your decision is right.
    As through qualifying this examination you will get job in government sector on good scale.

    And you have security also in this examination.

    Its the best chance for Any Engineering students to get government job.

    sir, i am doing final yr mechanical engineering and my date of birth is 03 February 1992 will i eligible for 2013 IES exam?
