    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services Examination :
    ----------------------------------------------------

    Nice to see that you are Interested to become IAS Officer in future and to become IAS officer you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services Examination, Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.

    >> For this examination you need Bachelor degree course in any discipline from a recognised University.
    >> Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination
    >> Not need to scored minimum percentage in Graduation, Passed in graduation is Sufficient
    >> must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years,
    >> Upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

    UPSC has changed the pattern of the Exam from 2012 and has replaced the existing Preliminary Examination with a Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT), which will be a common Test for all candidates. Those who cracked this examination are eligible to appear for Main examination. There are 2 papers in Preliminary examination. In Main examination there are 9 papers and you have to choose the subjects in main examination on the basis of Graduation. The Question Papers III to IX will be set both in Hindi and English.

    The last date of apply for this examination Online : 05/March/2012

    Preliminary Examination will be held on 20/May/2012.

    First of all Indian Administrative Service is part of civil service exam.So you should appear for Civil Service exam.To get job as IAS Officer.
    Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once to take qualified student into different service post in government sector like
    >>Indian Police Service
    >>Indian Administrative Service
    >>Indian Revenue Service etc.....

    To appear for civil service exam,you should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Civil Service exam consist of Preliminary exam and Main exam.
    Preliminary exam notification will release in the month of Feb every year and exam will held on March every year.
    Main exam will held on Oct month every year.
    You should clear Preliminary exam to appear for Main exam.

    Hi Friend ,

    Well any stream students can apply for IAS exam. To become IAS you have to apply for civil service exam which consist of preliminary exam ,main exam and interview
    If you clear preliminary exam only then you will get select for main exam and interview.

    A. Preliminary Examination


    PAPER I: is of 2 hours and 200 marks

    PAPER II:Is of 2 hours and 200

    Both papers will consist of Objective Type questions only.

    B. Main Examination


    PAPER I:

    One of the Indian Languages chosen from the prescribed list is of 3 hours and 300

    PAPER II:Is of English of 3 hours and 300 marks

    PAPER III:Is Essay of 3 hours of 200

    PAPER IV: Optional Subject 1 of 3 hours and 300 marks

    PAPER V:Optional Subject 1 of 3 hours and 300

    Civil service exam and the exam consist of the initial examination.
    Examination Notification Examination every year in February and March will be held every year will continue. The exam will be held in October each year.
    To clarify the initial examination, you should appear for the examination.
    People who cracked the exam are eligible to appear for the examination. 2 in the initial examination papers. 9 papers in the exam and graduation for you based on selected topics in the exam. Third to the eleventh question papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
    Notification Civil Service exam will be published soon on 04/Feb/2012
    05/March/2012 The last date for applying online for the test
    The preliminary examination will be held on 20/May/2012.
    If you are really interested in becoming an IAS officer course and pattern so as to start preparing for the exam. Based on the written test and personal interview are cracked the exam you follow these steps:

    Hi,

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative service and the exam is Conducted by UPSC (Union public service Commission). The Notification about the exam are published in the employment newspapers . UPSC is a body which is responsible for Conducting exams for the various services like:

    IAS(Indian Administrative Service)
    IES(Indian Engineering Service)
    IFS(Indian foreign Service)
    IPS(Indian Police Service)
    NDA(National defense Academy)
    CDS(Combined defense Service)


    As your personal Interest is IAS. To appear for the exam you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria that is mentioned by UPSC:
    • You need to Complete your Graduation from a recognized University with any discipline.
    • You must have attained 21 years of age and must not be more than 30 years of age.
    • Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
    • Final year students can also apply for the exam.

    Attempts:
    • SC/ST candidates have no limits.
    • OBC candidates can attempt 7 times.
    • General Category Candidates can attempt 4 times.

    You need to appear for the exam which is divided into 2 sections. The preliminary exam carries 400 marks and comprises of two subjects and the main paper comprises of 9 papers, you need to choose your subject basing on your discipline your graduation.

    As of 2012 the notification about the exam will be published on 4:February:2012

    The last day to apply for the exam is 5:March:2012

    The Preliminary exam will be Conducted on 20:May:2012

    The Main exam will be conducted on 05:October:2012

    IAS Basic Qualification :-


    The application have to completed their bachelor's degree with any desire subject from a recognized Universtiy or equivalent qualification and those in the final year of degree may also eligible to apply for IAS examination.There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this examination if you have any backlogs then you are not eligible to apply for this examination.

    Any graduate degree candidate can apply for this examination and there is no specific stream candidates are eligible for this examination.Any stream like Physics,Science,commerce,Engineering,Medical..etc.
    Any candidate can apply for this examination.There is no percentage bar required for this examination.

    The candidate age should be between minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination and age relaxation is given to the reserved categories.Three year relaxation for OBC categories and five year relaxation for SC/ST categories.

    The notification was already released and it is available in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news papers.

    IAS is one of the post included in the civil services.So to become IAS officer you need to apply for Civil service exam.

    The minimum qualification needed to apply for civil service exam is having a Degree from a reconized university.

    As you have already compleated your graduation you are eligible to apply for this exam.

    Civil services include IAS,IPS,IFS etc services..

    For apply for this exam you need to citizen of INDIA.

    Your age should not be less than 21 (or) not more than 30 years.

    If you belong to SC/ST then age criteria is 21-35 and for OBC it is 21-33.

    You can also apply if you are in the final year of your graduation.

    extra curricular
    general knowledge
    subject chosen for IAS exam you have to be through
    there are IAS coaching centers.
    you can approach answer give your qualification
    they will guide you the subjects to be chosen
    you can individually prepare if you are hard working and intelligent
    they have interviews after passing exams
    you have to prepare well
    so you take part in oratorical contest to get interview feeling
    even u fail or feel , does not matter
    take part in contest and group discussions to get over fear
    you have to be thorough with currant affair

    dear if you want become IAS officer than it is really a good career option but you have to be eligible for the entrance exam for IAS.
    ELIGIBILITY
    you have to complete your degree from any recognised university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or it may be declared as deemed university under the act of ugc act 1956.
    age limit
    you must have 21 years of age and your age must not be above 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination.
    age relaxation
    • you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the SC/ST,
    • you have 3 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the other backward classes,

    IAS :Indian Administrative service.UPSC will hold the IAS examination every year.


    The IAS Examination should consist of following fields namely...

    -Preliminary examination
    -Main examination.

    Preliminary exmination shoud consist of 2 papers and both of them is objective typr question.After craking the preliminary examination yuo can go for main examination.

    Main examination should consist of descriptive patteren.Here you have to choose the optional subjects..

    Every years the UPSC organizes civil services examination to seleect candidates for All Indian services.
    UPSC every year once to take qualified students into different services post in govt. Sector.
