    This associate examination has been divided into two parts

    JAIIB

    CAIIB

    Members only can pass CAIIB after they clearly pass JAIIB.

    The subjects included into the following exams

    JAIIB
    Principles of Banking

    Accounting and Finance for Bankers

    Legal aspects of Banking


    CAIIB


    Risk Management

    Financial Management

    General Bank Management


    JAIIB aims at providing maximum level of basic knowledge in banking


    and financial systems, banking technology, customer relations, basic


    accountancy and legal aspects necessary for carrying out day to day banking


    operations.


    CAIIB aims at providing advanced knowledge necessary for better decision


    making covering risk, financial and general bank management.


    The main qualification for CAIIB is that candidate should have completed JAIIB OR part -1 of

    the associate examination



    Examination will be conducted under offline mode only on twoconsecutive Sundays

    two papers on first Sunday and one paper on second Sunday

    Pattern of the examination conducted

    Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) aims at providing advanced knowledge necessary for better decision making covering risk, financial and general bank management.

    If you are wishing to appear for this exam, you should prepare this syllabus:
    > Knowledge testing
    >Conceptual grasp
    >Analytical / logical exposition
    >Problem solving
    >Case analysis
    Further, questions based on current developments in banking and finance may be asked.
    you are advised to refer to financial news papers /periodicals including ‘‘IIB VISION’’ and ‘‘Bank Quest’’ published by the Institute

    Subjects:
    > Risk Management
    > General Bank Management
    >Financial Management

    Eligibility for CAIIB:
    You must have done Financial C.A. / I.C.W.A. / C.S. / PGDBA in Management Finance of IIMs

    Application procedure:
    You must apply to the respective Zonal Office of the Institute for exemption along with copies of the following duly attested by the Branch Manager
    or Sectional / Departmental Head :
    a) mark sheets of all years
    b) syllabus relating to the acquired qualification
    c) certificate

    Exam pattern :
    >The CAIIB Examination will be of fully objective type (multiple choice) questions. Case study based questions may be asked.
    > About 90 questions per subject will be asked for the duration of two
    hours
    >question paper will carry 100 marks.

    periodicity:
    >this examination will be conducted normally twice a year in the months of May / June and November / December
    >Examination will be conducted under offline mode only on two
    consecutive Sundays (two papers on first Sunday and one paper on
    second Sunday).

    Hi,
    Management M.Com or MBA from a recognised university Accounting and provided the percentage of marks secured Financial should be above or equal to 50%

    Indian Economics M.A Economics from any recognised university and should also be a percentage of 50% or above

    Business MBA degree of a university in india
    Management Including PG Diploma from the IIMs,should also have percentage of 50% of marks

    Electronic B.Tech or M.Tech or equivalent from banking and a recognised University with information electronics or Computers or MCA/MCM Technology from a University of india

    Organisational MBA with Specialisation in Personnel or Development HRD or Industrial Relations from HRD University.


    If you are appearing for the CAIIB have to appear in 5 compulsory subjects and any one optional subjects to complete CAIIB.

    You need to appear for JAIIB exam first or part I of the Associate Examination.

    To my knowledge: to appear for any of the CAIIB exams / modules you must be a BANKER i.e. working in a bank on full time basis.

    Please enquire at Indian Institute of Bankers ( offices and chapters in many cities in India ). Another easy way is ask for a journal from IIB which members get on a regular basis

    The basic information about CAIIB:

    The new CAIIB examination will have to write two compulsory papers and one optional paper. The list of compulsory papers and elective papers are given below. Among the eleven elective papers you can chose any one elective paper.

    COMPULSORY PAPERS:

    **Advanced Bank Management
    **Bank Financial Management

    OPTIONAL PAPERS (Select one) :

    *Corporate Banking
    *Rural Banking
    *International Banking
    *Retail Banking
    *Co-operative Banking
    *Financial Advising
    *Human Resources Management
    *Information Technology

    The minimum qualification for CAIIB:
    You must have passed the matriculation
    examination or its equivalent. However, the Institute may, at its
    discretion, allow any candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre to appear at the examination on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank/the officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where he/she is working, even if he/she is not a matriculate or its equivalent. Subordinate staff of recognised Banking/Financial Institutions in India, who are members of the Institute, are eligible to appear at the examination, provided they have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent.
