There are a number of courses which are available for commerce students.It is true that though there are a limited number of courses which are generally opted by commerce students
but these courses cover a wide range of subjects, and so commerce students gets an idea about each and every subject which proves extremely helpful in their career prospects.

The various courses which are generally opted by people from commerce background can be explained as follows:
1)B.Com-
This is one of the most widely opted course. Subjects such as accountancy, statistics, corporate law, cost accounting, financial management, micro economics,
macro economics, contract law, etc all form part of this course. So, it covers a wide range of subjects. And so the students at least get the basic knowledge about
each and every subjects relating to finance.(some subjects are also not at all related to finance).The duration of the course is 3 years.

2)B.com(honors)-
This course enables you to get knowledge about various subjects even some of them are not at all related to commerce field, so it increases the potential(general awareness) of the student.
For example in the second of B.com(honors), there are two subjects called E-Commerce and Political Science(in most of the good colleges of India). It gives us an idea that
this course not only have subjects related to commerce, but also from non commerce category.The duration of the course is 3 years.

3)Chartered accountancy-
This course has become more and more popular during the recent years.The reason is simple and logical that companies want more and more of chartered accountants.
They are not only offered a very good salary or remuneration, but also a reputed position in the respective organisation.The duration of the course is 4- 5 years(depends on
the number of attempts required to clear the exams).

4)Apart from that commerce students are also entering into non commerce areas such as- Hotel management, Interior decoration, fashion designing,
event management, architecture, travel and tourism, nursing, defense sector, etc.The duration of the courses may range from 2 to 3 years.
