For Indian Administrative Services (IAS) under UPSC (Union Public Services Commission) exams, there are certain eligibility critirea you should keep in mind: The age limit for GEN category candidates is 21years to 30 years of age.3 tears relaxation is provided for OBC candidates and 5 year relaxation is provided to SC/ST category candidates. Also you should have the degree of the graduate course from a recognized University you pursued or you should be in the final year of your degree course to appear for the examination. The number of attempts for UPSC exams for GEN category is 4 and the for OBC and SC/ST category candidates is 7 and unlimited respectively. Once eligible, you will have to pass a 3 phase exam. First is the aptitude test. Second is the main exam including subjects from comprehensive English, mathematics, statistics, geography, history, psychology, etc. and then you will have to appear for a personal interview. This is the procedure to pursue IAS.

hi..the age limits fr the the INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES EXAM are as follows ,the minimum age at the time of the exam should be 21 years and the maximum age permitted for an general category student is 30 years,there is an relaxation of 5 years in the upper category for sc/st candidates ,and also you should be either in the final year of your graduation or already completed it to apply for the exam

For IAS exam age eligibility differs according the castes.
For General category candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years
For OBC category candidates age should be between 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST category only minimum age is required i.e 21 years

Well dear you must be aware of the eligibility criteria of Civil Services. However, lets discuss about age limits and number of attempts allowed as it is also influenced by that:-

For General Candidates

Age Limit - Between 21 - 30 years.
Number of attempts allowed: 4 times


For OBC (NCL) Candidates
