Re: What is the age limit to be eligible for NET,2012?

Technically, there is no age limitation for National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC.
If you satisfy the academic qualification required for NET then you are eligible.
To be eligible for the exam one should have at least 55% marks in Master's degree
or equivalent examination. This criteria is relaxed by 5% for SC/ST/PD candidates.

If you want to appear NET for lectureship then definitely there is no age limit but
you want to appear NET for Junior Research Fellowship then you should satisfy the
    age criteria also.
The upper age limit to appear for NET for JRF is 28 years.

Re: What is the age limit to be eligible for NET,2012?

    As per age criteria,
There is no upper age limit at all required for the candidate for Lectuership.
-But for JRF, one should be in the age group of 19-28 years.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of OBC and also for SC/ST category candidates.

So, check yourself whether you possess the required age criteria to appear for this exam or not by having a glance over above mentioned age criteria.

If you fulfill this eligibility criteria and if you are interested to take this exam, you can opt for the same.
