IBPS ( INSTITUTE OF BANKING PERSONNEL SELECTION ) conducts CWE ( common entrance exam ) for the posts of PO's / MANAGEMENT TRAINEE and CLERK CADRE into 19 Public sector banks.
IBPS conducts this exam twice in year.

Eligibility :
For PO's / MANAGEMENT TRAINEE :

Educational Qualification :

You must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized university or its affiliated college with minimum percentage of marks.

Age relaxation :

Your age must be minimum of 20 years and maximum of 30 years , at the time of the notification released for the examination.

Upper age relaxation is accepted if you belong to

SC / ST - 5 years
Other BC - 3 years
Physical handicapped - 10 years
Ex-Service men - 5 years.

For CLERK CADRE :

Educational Qualification :

You must completed your SSC with 50% marks from the respective state board
or
You must completed 10+2 with 60% marks in any stream from respective board.
or
You must be a Graduate.

Upper age relaxation is accepted if you belong to

yes you are eligible for ibps entrance exam. The minimum age required for application is 18 years as of 18.01.2011 and maximum is 28. Relaxation is provided for ST (5 yr), other backward communities( 3yrs), disabled (10yrs), widows (9 yr) and some other classes.

About IBPS Examination -

IBPS Stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and it was conducts Common written examination for the post of clerical cadre and Bank PO Examination Post.

As per your age eligibility criteria, you are Only eligible for Bank PO Examination post and for this post you must have attained the age of 20 years and not attained the age of 30 years, means your age should between 20 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

To apply for IBPS Bank PO Examination, you need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university and there is no minimum percentage is required to apply for this examination, any graduate passed candidates are eligible to apply for this examination.

The selection are based on entrance examination and the examination was held in 2 stages - Objective and Descriptive. The Score Cards issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the Score Card.

Yes of course you are eligible,To be eligible for this exam one must be an Indian Citizen with an age limit of 20 to 30 years. There is an age relaxation of 3 to 10 years for the SC/ST/OBC/DISABLED category.
Also the candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university or central one.

I belong to BC. My D.O.B is 22feb,1981. I have completed my edication in Andhara and presently staying in karnataka. I have applied from karnataka only. My doubts are am i eligible to Ibps exam, 2.whether local lnaguage is compulsory? Iknow only telugu, english and hindhi.
