Total intake capacity for M.Tech (Computer Science) course in Utkal University is 30. Selection of candidates to these seats is done based on the performance of the candidates in an entrance test held by the University.

Structure and Pattern of Utkal University M.Tech in Computer Science Entrance Test

The entrance test is carried out in objective type format. Total time allotted for the the test is 3 hours. Questions will be asked from:

• Mathematics
• Computer Fundamentals and Programming
• Logical Reasoning

Questions in mathematics section are based on topics covered at bachelor degree level. First two sections (Mathematics and Computer Fundamentals and Programming) carry 40% weightage in marks. 20% weightage of marks is given for questions from logical reasoning.

Eligibility Criteria for Utkal University M.Tech in Computer Science Entrance Test

Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology in Computer Science or any related subjects is the basic eligibility required for attending the entrance test. Master degree holders in any of the subjects i.e. Computer Science, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Statistics, Electronics, Physics, etc are eligible to attend the test. Candidates who have passed A.M.I.E examination or B-level exam of DOEACC are also eligible to join the application process. Degree must be obtained with minimum aggregate of 50% marks.

Application Procedure of Utkal University M.Tech in Computer Science Entrance Test

Application form along with information brochure can be downloaded from the official website of Utkal University. Fee for application form is Rs. 150/- and entrance exam fee is Rs. 250/-. Fee can be paid in the form of bank draft via any of the nationalized banks of India. DD for application fee must be taken in favor of Comptroller of Finance, Utkal University where as the entrance exam fee must be taken in favor of Director of School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science, Utkal University.
