Thumbs up Re: From which university should I do my graduation in order to crack IAS exam in future? Does IIT produce most IAS officers?

IAS (INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES) IT IS ON OF MOST RENOWNED EXAMS OF THE COUNTRY.....
ONCE YOU GET SELECTED INTO IAS NO ONE ASKS FOR YOUR PREVIOUS STREAM FROM WHICH

BRANCH YOU HAVE STUDIED YOU COMPLETELY HAVE A DIFFERENT IDENTITY....

FOR TAKING IAS AS A CARRIER :-

1)YOU MUST HAVE DONE YOUR GRADUATION AND HAVE A BACHELOR DEGREE OF RECOGNISEED UNIVERSITY .......

2)YOUR AGE LIMIT MUST BE WITHIN 21 TO 30 YEARS AS PER NEW RULES RELEASED BY GOVERNMENT

    3) NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS A GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENT CAN GIVE IS FOUR
WHILE A SC /ST CANDIDATE CAN GIVE 7 NO. OF ATTEMPTS.....

IF YOU WANT TO GIVE IAS EXAM THEN YOU MUST TAKE UP THE SUBJECTS THROUGH WHICH YOU CAN GIVE YOUR IAS PAPER EASILY AND SUCCESSFULLY

IT IS NOT SO THAT ONLY IIT PRODUCE MOST OF IAS OFFICERS
THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT IITIANS STRUGGLE TO SHAPE THEIR DREAMS INTO REALITY..

Re: From which university should I do my graduation in order to crack IAS exam in future? Does IIT produce most IAS officers?

There is no any particular rule that you will do your Graduation from any particular University for appearing in IAS EXAM.

The necessary eligibility that you will have to fulfilled in order to appear for this exam are as follows:-

    >>You must be Graduation pass out from any Stream.
    >>You minimum age should be 21 years.
    >>Your degree must be recognized from the state university/Central university.
    >>Your degree must be Approved from the UGC/AICTE.

The next IAS EXAM Will be held in the year 2015.
Thus you have 3 years time in your hand.
Engineering courses are of 4 years and you will not able to get much time for preparation for IAS Exam if you will do Engineering from the colleges like IIT';S.

Thus I will suggest you to do simple Grdaution any Recognized university.

However if your age in not above 16 year then you may go for doing Engineering.
But the next exam will be held in the year 2015 you will not be able to appear for this exam,so go for doing professional courses such as BCA/B.SC(IT)/BBA etc.

The upper age limit for appearing in this exam is 28 years.

However if you are under the reserved category then you get the age relaxations facilities as per government norms.
    The details are as follows:-

    >>If you comes under the OBC Category then you will get 3 years of age relaxations.
    >>If you comes under the SC/ST Category then you will get 5 years of age relaxations.

There is also Limitations for appearing in this exam.
    The details are as follows:-

    >>If you comes under the General category then you can appear only 4 times in this exam.
    >>If you comes under the OBC category then you can appear 7 times in tis exam.

IMPORTANT:-If you comes under the SC/ST Category then there is no limitations for appearing in this exam.

Mostly from IIT Colleges best Engineers are produced each year.
As they work hard basicalky for money and Discover new techniques and Hardwares for Todays technology.
So they go for Technical line.

It will be better for you to work very hard and prepared for IAS EXAM Rather then for preparing for IIT exam.

The official website for this exam is www.upsc.gov.in

IAS exam is an extremely unique, tough & prestigious exam. It has got its own syllabus and pattern. It does not matter from which university or institution you do the graduation.

    Hey friend,

There is nothing to be regarded about the university in which you are Graduated as that there is nothing to be worried about it.The only thing to be needed is that you need to have completed your degree and that to with a fair percentage.

To become a IAS officer you need to write the IAS exam and this exam is being conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year.

The selection procedure of this exam is that you need to pass all the 3 stages namely:

    > Preliminary Exam

    > Main Exam

    > Interview

There are criteria's which are to be followed apart from the education qualification and they are that:

    Qualification Needed:

    > The candidate should be a citizen of India

    > The age limit needed for the exam is that the caniddate must have 21-30 years for General and 21-35 years for SC/ST and 21-33 years for OBC and there is a excpetion of 5 years from the prescibed limits for Ex-service men.

If you are satisfying all these above mentioned criteria along with the education qualification then you can apply for the exam.

    ALL THE BEST
