University of Delhi M.Phil/PhD Commerce Entrance Exam

University of Delhi organizes M.Phil/PhD Commerce Entrance Exam every year for the purpose of selecting eligible candidates for admission into Doctor of Philosophy in Commerce and also Master of Philosophy in Commerce courses offered at the University. The candidates will be admitted into these courses on the basis of the score obtained by them in this exam. This exam provides an opportunity for aspirants who are looking forward to a good career in Commerce.

Structure and Pattern of University of Delhi M.Phil/PhD Commerce Entrance Exam

The exam will comprise of objective type questions and multiple choices will be provided for every question. There will be a total of 200 questions for this exam. The total time allotted for this exam will be 2 hours. For each correct answer one gets 1 mark. For each wrong answer 1/4 marks will be deducted. Those who clear this test will have to attend a face to face interview which is the final screening before admission.

The syllabus of the exam and the number of questions from each section is as follows.

• Quantitative Methods for Research: 60 questions
• Accounting Finance & Tax: 35 questions
• International Business & Marketing: 35 questions
• HRM & Law: 35 questions
• Economics: 35 questions

Eligibility Criteria of University of Delhi M.Phil/PhD Commerce Entrance Exam
The candidates who hold any of the following degrees are eligible to apply for this exam.

• M.Com
• MHROD
• MIB
• M.A. (Economics)
• MFC
• MBA

They should have scored at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam in order to appear for this exam.
The candidates who are currently studying in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply for this exam.
