University of Allahabad B.Ed. Entrance Test

University of Allahabad conducts B.Ed. Entrance Test annually for the purpose of screening eligible aspirants for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course offered at its constituent colleges. The admission to this course is strictly based on the marks obtained by the candidate in this entrance exam.

Structure and Pattern of University of Allahabad B.Ed. Entrance Test

The questions of this test are of objective type with multiple choices. There will be four choices given for each question and one of the choices will be the correct answer. The candidate has to indicate the correct answer from the given choices. The candidate will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

The test comprises of two parts. Part 1 includes the following subjects.

• Economic status

Logical and Analytical reasoning

• Analogies
• Data sufficiency
• Coding and Decoding
• Arithmetic operations
• Boolean operations

Teaching- Learning and the School

• Knowledge of Teaching Learning Process System
• Audio-Visual Aids and Mass Media
• Attitude towards the Teaching Profession
• Classroom Problems of Learners and their Solutions
• Examination, Evaluation and Assessment
• Use of Library

General English Comprehension

The candidate has to attend any one of the subjects specified in Part 2 which include the following.

• Mathematics
• Social studies
• Science
• English
• Hindi

Eligibility Criteria of University of Allahabad B.Ed. Entrance Test

• The candidate should have passed in the 10+2 exam from a recognized University or Board or Institute to be eligible to apply for this test.
• The candidate should be in the age limit of 17 to 25 years. The reserved category candidates have an age relaxation of 5 years.
• The candidate must be an Indian citizen. Foreign candidates can also appear for the exam subject to certain extra criterion as mentioned by the University of Allahabad.
