CPT is an entry level test conducted as part of CA course. You should register for CPT after 10th class. CPT can be attended only after completing 12th class. Only those who qualify in CPT exam are eligible to attend the next level that is IPCC. But in case of graduates, they can directly attend the IPCC exam as they are given exemption from CPT exam. After successfully completing IPCC, you should undergo article ship training. The duration of training is 3 years. The CS final course can only be attended after completing article ship training. Hence, B.Com graduates need not attend CPT exam.

The government has annouced the new rule for graduate students.
The graduate students can now directly enroll in IPCC.(means second stage of CA course)
the commerce graduates :55%
the non commerce graduates:60%.Thanks

Yes it is true that CPT is challenged for graduate students.
Graduates students are eligible to direct get admission in IPCC.
For commerce students 50%
and for non commerce students 60%.

dear according to ICAI if you have a bachelors degree in commerce field you are going to enter directly IPCC
AND FINAL .
IPCC registration is not automatic and you have to submit the IPCC registration form.
the fees for the IPCC registration is payable by way of demand draft /pay order in favour of secretary , institute of charted accountants of india which are payable at

you have to appear for teh exam after 9 years of registration ,
the exam is conducted twice in a year in the month of may and November.

after passing the IPCE you are going to enter into the final course called ARTICLESHIP
