For attending the CSIR- NET exam you must have pursued M.Sc or equivalent degree with minimum 55% from recognized universities. It is held twice in a year. You must start preparation from at least three months before the exam. Try to prepare a syllabus from examiners view and start studying. This will help you to understand what you should pay more attention to. Solve as much as model questions as you can. Improve your speed in multiple choice questions while solving model questions; improve writing skills in essay and short questions. Note down important points while read books this will help you for easy revision. The best thing you can do is to collect more previous questions and solve out that. Try to collect books like Atomic Structure - Principle of physical chemistry - Puri, Sharma & Pathwa, Chemical kinetics - Advance physical chemistry - Gurdeep Raj, Cell and molecular biology - De Robertis + verma aggarwal + Gardner for mol.bio, Upkar Prakashan, Pratiyogita Darpan, etc

To clear this exam it is important that you understand the basic structure of the exam. You need to select the subject based on what you specialised in Post Graduation. The syllabus for the subject will be provided in the notifications. Also it will be there in the UGC website. You have choice to appear for the exam in June or December. Based on when you plan to appear for the exam create a timetable. You should have detailed list of the areas you plan to cover. Do keep some time for revision. Also solving the previous year papers will help. There are a lot of books available in the market. You need to purchase based on the specialisation you choose.
