Well, let me tell you there are many candidates like you from different genres who want to do CA. CA is like MBA, being from any education genre you can join it. Also if you are just a higher secondary degree holder then also you can join it. Although in giving the entrance examination for CA, which is CPT, is not a problem for you. But do you have any earlier knowledge in commerce? If not then in understanding and giving the examination for CA will be a great problem for you. Also if you clear CPT or common proficiency test somehow, you will never be able to understand CA, forget about clearing it. You have taxation, auditing, accountancy, finance and lots more. So what you need to do is, either enroll for a B.Com course or enroll for a 2 year diploma course in commerce genre. This will enhance your commerce knowledge.
Remember you need to enroll in CPT examination through ICAI branches in India. The examination is of 200 marks divided into two, two hour sessions. If you clear CPT with 50% or more marks then can you go for the CA course. CPT has negative marking so be careful while answering.
