Although there are no scholarship tests in 1st year of engineering yet you can avail scholarship from your college.You can also avail scholarship from CBSE if you had passed out from CBSE and studying in a college that comes under AIEEE.
You can also avail scholarship from Sahu Jain Trust and Tata ,Birla.For scholarship from Tata and Birla it is essential that you belong to SC or ST or in BPL category.

~> However, there is a Scholarship from CBSE, if you have secured above 415 marks(approx.) in XII out of 500 marks, then you are eligible for CBSE Scholarship.

sir I m doing engineering from NIT Silchar from electrical branch. I have interest in robotics.but belongs to poor family .I don't hv any scholarship.so I m facing difficulty .what so I do,i m confused......what should I prefer so that I can make my parents happy as well as I proceeed in my interest . do not suffer in the coming year....I cleared NDA SSB but left it because I was having interest eng and wanted to go in IIT but couldn't crack it..no I feel that I made a big mistake .my parents were not at all that I left NDA .so what should I do now to make them happy?

sir/madam, i had completed my intermediate 2nd year with 90% and i got 47,000 rank in eamcet . I had also written jee mains exam and i got all india rank 2,00,000 change and my state wide rank is 30,000 and i belong to oc category ,and i am a girl.can i get any scholarship for my b.tech? and i don't have any ebc certificate.if there is any probability of getting scholarship please inform me.....
