It is possible to join B.Arch through Lateral Entry Scheme.Under Lateral entry scheme,you will directly get admission to second year of B.Arch.So,the course duration for you will be 3 years instead of 4 years.But for getting admission under Lateral Entry scheme you have to clear the LEET(Lateral Engineering Entrance Test).It is a type of Entrance test for B.arch admissions.For appearing in the LEET,you must have to fulfill the eligibility conditions for that.
Eligibility conditions for LEET:
- You should have passed your Diploma from a recognized Institute or any State Board of Technical Education.
- You should have cleared your diploma with minimum 60% marks.
- You should not have any backlogs left in Diploma.
- Your age should not be more than 28 years at the time of test
On the basis of your rank in the LEET test,you will be assigned College,the higher rank you will score in the Test,the better College you will get.As you are pursuing your Diploma course in Civil Engineering,so it will help you a lot in your B.Arch degree.
