if you want to become Government lecture there is no need to give NET or SET.recruitment is on the basis of interview only. mpsc conducts that procedure on the basis of UG percentage and if you have PG then you get more benefits of getting selected. candidates shorted on the basis of UG percentage only.

You can appear for the NET exam until you clear it. There are no limits for the same. For appearing for this exam you need to have the Masters qualification from a recognised institute. Since you are pursuing M.Tech from a recognised institute you surely are eligible for the exam. If you are in the final year then you can appear for the same. So you must start preparing for this exam right away. You will get all the information for the exam from the UGC site. Since you are specialising the CSE field you can choose this area for the NET exam also. Once you clear this exam you can apply for vacant posts in various institutes. These institutes will send out notifications of vacancies.

No their is no age limit for attempting NET/SET Exam. But you should have at least qualifying master's degree in any discipline. Although Final year/Final Semester pursuing student (in Master's) will be eligible to give Exam.
Govt lecturer in any Govt Institute will be only after qualifying NET Exams. This exam will held two times in a year December & July respectively. After qualifying NET Exam you will eligible to apply for lecturer ship in any Govt. Institute or University.
Besides this their is another option in field of research or Ph.D via qualifying NET. And for research their is maximum age limit of 28 years. but for LS (lecturer ship) their where no age limit.

Re: Is there any limit for attempting NET/SET Exam? Am I eligible for NET/SET exam after completing M.Tech(CSE)? How can I become govt lecturer in CSE?

    Hi friend

1.If one has done Ph D then there is no need to write NET or SLET to become lecturer. They are directly preferred.

2.To write NET/SLET you need to have 55% in your postgraduate exam. 5% relaxation for sc/st.

3.If you clear National Eligibility Test (NET) you will eligible for the lecturer post in colleges and Universities throughout India.

4.NET is conducted twice a year in june and december.

5.SLET -State Lectureship Eligible Test is to recruit lecturers in colleges in that state alone.
Each state conduct their own SLET exams.
    So dates vary.

    ALL THE BEST

Re: Is there any limit for attempting NET/SET Exam? Am I eligible for NET/SET exam after completing M.Tech(CSE)? How can I become govt lecturer in CSE?

No, there is no such limit mentioned anywhere to appear for NET(National Eligibility Test) exam.If you are referring to the number of attempts , then there is no such clarification
any where by the governing body. There is no age limit to appear for this exam if you want to practice as a lecturer in any government or private college. But of you want to join as
a junior research fellow , then you can appear for the exam till 28 years only.

NET exam is an exam conducted by UGC(Union Grants Commission). This exam makes a candidate eligible to work as a lecturer in any reputed college. This exam is required for
the selection of those candidates who are suitable for lectureship and who want to make a career in this direction or they want to study further and want to do P.Hd in their respective
field. As most of the reputed and well known universities of India only give admission for this course if the candidate has qualified this exam. So, this exam is for both of the type of candidates.

As you have completed your Masters , you are eligible to appear for the exam as a canddate must have completed his or her Masters from any discipline. The following conditions
are required to be fulfilled in order to appear for the NET(National Eligibility Test) exam:
1)The candidate must have completed his or her post graduation from any discipline or in other words must have completed his or her Masters.

2)The candidate must have completed his graduation with the minimum percentage required to appear for the exam. The minimum percentage required to appear for the exam
is 55% in post graduation from any discipline.
If you satisfy both of the above requirement s you are eligible to appear for the NET exam. Apart from NET there are several other exams conducted by separate states which
are called SET(State Eligibility Test). You can also appear for this exam if you wish to work as a lecturer in any particular state which is of prime importance to you. There is scope
for a bright as well as satisfactory career in this direction.
