An infrastructure engineer is a civil engineer who specializes in infrastructure. Most universities do not offer degree programs in infrastructure engineering, so, student will often major in civil and get the specifics on infrastructure from on-site job training.



Depends on what part you want to be involved in. Civil Engineering is more the hard technical specs of brick and mortar, whereas the Architect is more on the soft technical issues of light, color, movement and style. Both, however, may have to comply with the same codes and laws, but they have different points of view.




If you want to design bridges, go civil.
if you want to draw pictures of buildings and like to mess with colors, go architecture.
