    Civil Service exam is held once in year, this exam is part of Civil service exam and exam is conducted by UPSC.

    Eligibility criteria for Civil Service exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university. Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates, 21 to 33 year for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General category candidates.
    7 attempts for Obc category candidates
    14 attempts for SC/ST category candidates.

    Important dates for Civil Service-2012 exam:
    Civil Service (Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
    Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
    Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    Civil Service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
    Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.

    Eligibilaty critaria
    -pass graduation in any stream from recoginised university.
    -age limit
    for open category:-21-30 year
    For OBC category:-21-33year
    For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

    For ST/SC category:- 7

    Civil services examination (CSE) is conducted by UPSC, Every year and the notification of this examination will be Published in the month of February in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website.

    Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.

    To apply for this examination you must hold a degree of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. You not need to score any minimum percentage in Graduation to apply for this examination, any graduate passed candidates are eligible for this examination. You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years, The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

    For this year UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination was already completed on 20/May/2012.

    If you have missed the chance to apply for this examination now, then please apply for this examination next year. The Next year Notification will be Published soon in the month of February 2013 and the examination will be conducted in May 2013.

    Eligible candidates may fill the application form online Only, No offline application form facility is applicable for any candidates, Only online application form will be accepted.

    Number of Attempts:

    Four attempts for general candidates, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt.

    The examination is Conducted in 2 stages :
    ~~ Preliminary Examination
    ~~ Main examination

    Firstly, you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and there are 2 papers in this examination and all are conducted in same day, The examination is Objective. Those who cracked this examination are eligible for Main examination. In Main examination there are 9 papers and you have to choose the subjects in main examination on the basis of Graduation. The Question Papers III to IX will be set both in Hindi and English.

    Hi..

    Its good that you have planned for your future from right now and want to become an IAS..

    For becoming an IAS,you will have to qualify the exam conducted by UPSC i.e,Union Public Service Commission of India.

    The eligibility for appearing in this exam are:-

    1.Your age should be at least 21 years.

    2.You should be graduate from any discipline.

    3.55% in your graduation.

    The exam is conducted in three stages:-

    1.Prelims.

    2.Mains.

    3.Interview.

    Maximum number of attempts for appearing in this exam are:-

    1.General category candidates-Maximum 4 attempts.

    2.OBC category-Maximum 7 attempts.

    3.SC/ST candidates-No limit.

    So,you should follow these steps now:-

    1.Pass your 12th.

    2..Do graduation from any stream from any recognised university.

    3.Attain 21 years of age.

    4.Keep track on Daily events news.

    5.Prepare for the exam as per the syllabus.

    And when you attain your 21 years,appear for the exam.

    Civil Service Exam dates :-

    ~~Date of announcement :- 04/02/12
    ~~Last date for receipt of application :- 05.03.12
    ~~Date of examination :- 20.05.12

    Stage of this exam :-

    -Prelims
    -Main Exam
    -Interview

    Civil Service Examination was conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year for recruitment of 24 + post under the CSE Examination and the post like Indian Administration Service , Indian Police Service , Revenue Officer , Defence Service , Railway Officer , Central Excise and Customs Services .

    To Crack this exam , you should have a possess graduation degree with any one stream OR equivalent qualification from a recognized University and don't worry about the percentage because there is no minimum marks required for this examination . Any graduate candidate can apply for this examination and there is no restrictions in graduate degrees .

    Final year of degree course can apply for Civil Service Examination but Third year candidate can't eligible to apply for Civil Service Examination . Your age should not more than 30 years and not less than 21 years and Upper age limits is applicable . Three year for OBC , Five years for SC/ST candidates .

    Four attempts for General candidates , Seven attempts for OBC candidates and No restriction for SC/ST candidates .

    This year examination was already completed on 20/05/12 but the exam results was not declared yeat . Next Prelims notification will be publish in the month of Jan OR Feb in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news papers and other leading news papers .

    Wiling candidate can fill the application forms only online and no other mode application forms will be accepted .
