I have always heard that every aspiring IAS have to study around minimum 4 maximum 16 hours.
but this very young IAS just astonish me by telling in an interview that she has only study for 2 hours a day.
and very great fan of the cricket.
she is just 25 year old.

    Hello

If you become an IAS/IPS officer, you become part of the Indian Govt. You can work from “the inside” and change “the system”!!

If you have a dream for India, or if you, like us, believe that India will soon be a “super-power”. If you want to be part of the process of making India a great nation, IAS/IPS is for you! Being an IAS/IPS officer, there is a lot more power and control you have so that you can be part of Emerging India!

Besides that, IAS/IPS is a great career option! You get many “perks of the job” when you are an IAS/IPS officer. You will have “job security”, “discount on Govt. services”, “Govt. provided transportation” and many more things..Even though the monthly salary provided by the IAS/IPS career is not too high, the “perks” make up for the less salary!

I would like to say just one thing rather than knowing about the success stories of others it's always would be a better thing you jump into it and play !!! Here are some details about IAS/IPS

    IAS/IPS Eligibility:

You must be a citizen of India.
    Age limits:
    - You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.
upto a maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes(BC's)
You must complete your Graduation Degree(No restriction in Min.Percent)
    Number of attempts::
    - General candidates: four attempts.
    - Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates: No restriction.
    - Other Backward Classes: seven attempts.

Conceptual understanding of the subject is most important. Give a layman’s interpretation to the concepts and relate it with mundane example for long term memory. Facts – After conceptual understanding, the second step is memorizing the important facts.

For example , some important theoretical aspects are to be memorized to attempt any question related to the spatial analysis of the matter. Something New – New diagrams, new ideas, original ideas, new content, latest reports, inter linkages etc. must be incorporated.

    All the best
