    Hi!

In IBPS Common Written Exam (CWE), you can see 5 sections. Those five sections can be named as follows:

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 33

    Reasoning

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 30-33

    General Awareness

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off near to 25

    Computer Knowledge

    50 questions -- 50 marks
    cut-off 35

    English Language

    50 questions -- 25 marks
    cut-off 10-12

The Total time is 150 min and the total marks are 225.

    Descriptive exam

Essay and Letter writing -- 60 min

    25 marks
    cut-off around 15 marks.

--> In general, you need to get a score of 70% to secure a job in any of the 19 banks. Which mean a 70% of 250 is 175.

-->If the Exam is very tough, then you need to get around 60% - 65%, which means a marks of 140 - 145.

    Hi swathi,
If you can score 70% of the total, You will definitely get a job in any of the 19 banks. Minimum 70% could guarantee a job for sure.
If you are lucky enough, you can get through with 60% aggregate too. So after all, i can say that 70% in very section would be the minimum total to guarantee a job for you.

    Hello Friend

IBPS ( Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection ) is going to conduct the CWE for Clerk cadre on 27th November 2011 , So the Examination mainly consists of total 250 questions you have to answer in 150 min.

The question is mainly divided into 5 sections each consists of 50 questions each based on the following subjects

    1. Mathematical Aptitude
    2. Reasoning
    3. English language
    4. General awareness
    5. Computer knowledge

Dude in order to get a qualified rank IBPS Clerk cadre CWE a common aggregate percentage is not enough , if you have good common percent and you got lest marks in any of the papers you will not be taken in.

So in my view you have to score minimum pass mark of atleast 50% in each paper so that you will become eligible for IBPS Clerk cadre posts. The minimum percentage may vary it depends on the paper how it is in the examination , so it is not confirm that you have to get this much of minimum percentage in CWE.

I say that dude you prepare well and try to get good marks in each and every paper , which will lead you to a good rank securing stage.

For any further information leave your message here.

    REGARDS.

Re: Tell me the minimum marks required in each section in IBPS Clerical exam?

    Hello!

In IBPS clerk you can find following sections:>>
    > Reasoning - 50questions
    > Mathematical Aptitude - 50 questions
    >General awareness - 50 questions
    > Computers - 50 questions
    > English language - 50 questions
So there will a total of 250 questions and 250 marks which you have to answer in 150 min , and you have to mainly solve each and every paper in order to qualify in IBPS CWE.
Getting good score is not enough in IBPS CWE for Clerks , besides these you have to get minimum marks in each paper so that only you will awarded with Rank and there is no consideration of an aggregate mark if you fail in One paper also.

So you have to score minimum 50% mark in each and every paper and the cut off marks depends upon the Paper that came during the examination.
If the paper appears tough then the cut off mark will decrease if the paper is easy than the cut off mark will increase.Besides these you work hard and get the good score so that you will be placed in a good Bank of your choice , just prepare well and do good!
    All the best!
