CPT stands for common proficiency test and it is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for admitting students to Chartered Accountancy course.

The institute conducts Chartered Accountant Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) four times a year, at various cities across India.

The students must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board.

There is no resriction on the number of attempts made by a candidate for ca-cpt exam.

The exam ca-cpt will be conducted on the date December 4th, 2011.So prepare well for the exams.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT)is an entry level examination for admission to the Chartered Accountancy Course.
The June exam was over on 19th of jine.
The CPT exam on December is scheduled on 4th december 2011.

The last date for submission of application is October 27.

*Cost of application form: Rs.100
*Exam fees: Rs.600

Eligibility:

(i) Either passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) or its equivalent or must have appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) or its equivalent of a recognized Institution, and

(ii) Registered for CPT Course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before 1st April 2011.

CPT exams are conducted twice in a year i.e June and December.
It is usually conducted on the first Sunday of the month.
So,this year the exam is on 4th December,2011.

My friend CA CPT is a common proficiency Test in the chartered accountancy course. It is organised by ICAI every year a number of time.
This course is aimed at providing you the basic technique, knowledgd and skills of chartered accountancy.
To be eligible for this course you should be just a 10+2 pass. There is no minimum age criteria or no. Or percentage criteria. There is no regulation regarding the number of attempts also.

Last examination of CA CPT was held on 19th june and the results have already been announced.

Latest updates on CPT reveal that it has been announced that the next CPT exam is scheduled on the 4th of December.
The last date of application form announced is 27th october.

CPT(Common proficiency test) is one of the examinations conducted by ICAI(Institute of chartered accountants of India). Basically it is the first or the initial exam that is required to be cleared by a candidate in order to become a chartered accountant.

Usually this exam is conducted in two modes that is written mode and the other one is online mode.
If you want to appear for the exam online then you can appear for the exam in any month at a date that is notifies by the institute for the purpose for the exam.

If you want to appear for the written exam that is conducted in the month of December, then that exam is usually from 5th december to 10th december.

A student would be able to appear at the first examination falling 2 months after the date of registration.
Students registering

On or before April 1st can appear in the June Examination the same Year
