    Hi.,

    NET is a National Eligibility Test is the national level entrance examination in India.This exam is written for admission in Ph.D research and University level teaching jobs i.e.,to determine eligibility for Lecturership and for award of junior research Fellowship.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    >You must complete your post graduation with atleast 55% from any recognised UGC.
    >The maximum age limit for this exam is 35 years.
    Age relaxation:
    >OBC:3 years
    >SC/ST:5 years

    UGC(University Grants Commission) conducts test for the Humanities and Arts discipline and CSIR(Council os Scientific and Industrial Research conducts test for the Science and Engineering discipline.

    The NET notification is published in the employment News in the month of March and September.

    The national level test does not completely represent the regional subjects so for this purpose SET i.e., State Eligibility Test came in to existence.

    The pattern of the Question Paper includes:

    The test consists of three papers which is of Objective type and will be held in two separate sessions.

    session:1

    60 out of 50 questions are to be attempted:50x2=100marks
    50 questions:50x2=100marks
    [color="green']
