    You need the complete details of civil service exam.

    CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:

    CONDUCTED BY UNION OF PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISION .

    Eligibility:

    Education:
    *A bachelors degree in any field and from any university .

    Age Limit:

    *It is between 21 to 30 for general candidate .

    *And there is age relaxation for reserved category .

    *Number of attempts:

    General -4
    OBc-7
    Sc/St-no limit.


    Some important points :


    *For selection in this exam you need to command in G.K .

    *It will be better that you start your preparation from the start of the graduation degree.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services and to become IAS Officer you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination.

    Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.

    This examination is Conducted in 2 stages : Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    Preliminary examination is also called CSAT (Civil services aptitude test) and this is Objective type and there are 2 papers in this exam, Those who cracked this examination are eligible to appear for the Main examination.

    Main examination is Descriptive and Consist of 9 papers, You have to choose the Optional Subjects in this examination on the Basis of Graduation.

    You can go for IAS(Indian Administrative Service) if you scored good rank in CIVILS which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    UPSC has changed the pattern of highly respected IAS exam from 2011 .
    In the new pattern the Preliminary Test (PT) for IAS exam is replaced by Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT).

    IAS will be done in the foll.stages:

    1.Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
    2.Main Exams
    3.Interview


    Eligibility criteria for IAS::


    >>You must have a degree with any percent. But you must not have any active backlogs.
    >> You must be a citizen of India.

    Age limits:
    - You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:
    upto a maximum of 5 years if the candidate belongs to SC/ST.

    The examination can conducted into 2 phases namely

    • Preliminary examination
    • Main examination

    Eligibility for IAS:

    You have to complete your Graduation from any recognized university.

    INDIAN CIVIL SERVICES : SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

    The Eligibility for appearing IAS Examination is :

    Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology

    Indian Administrative Services is a part of the nationally acknowledged group of exams called as the Indian Civil Services Exam conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.     IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES and the selection of candidates is done through the examination called CIVIL SERVICES by UPSC(UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).

    This exam is conducted every year and the posts available are IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc.

    So to be among these you have ti really work hard because this exam is very competitive and hard.

    There are a lot of tests conducted and one personal interview is also conducted for the selection of candidate at last.The stages of selection are:

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE APPEARANCE IN EXAM:

    Procedure to become IAS officer is:

    -->You should complete your degree from a recognized Indian University.
    -->You should get the age of 21 years and should not exceed 30 years.

    -->First you need to clear CSAT which is the screening exam conducted.
    -->After that Mains is the big hurdle for every aspirant.

    IAS means Indian Administrative Service. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in year. The candidate must be a degree holder from any recognised institute. Age limit is from 21 to 30 years for general catagory and for SC & ST 5 years exemption is given in age. OBC is exempted 3 years in age while handicapped are given 5 years' exemption. The exam is conducted in three phases-
    1. Premilimnary examination which will consist of two papers of 200 marks each. These two papers will be objective type and negative marking would also be done on wrong answers. Main examination
    2. Main examination which will consist of nine papers.

    3. Interview-The final stage of the exam is interview.
