    Dear Friend,

    The NEET exam is the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Health Ministry have finally reached a consensus to hold a All India Common Entrance Test for MBBS Course in all government run medical colleges, Private medical Colleges and Deemed Universities from 2012-2013 academic session. The meeting on Monday was attended by MCI

    Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years are only eligible to write the NEET

    EET stands for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test
    NEET has been proposed by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt, of India and Medical Council of India (MCI)
    NEET has been proposed for:
    Undergraduate (NEET-UG) Medical Courses like MBBS, BDS etc
    Post Graduate (NEET-PG) Medical Courses like M.S., M.D. etc
    NEET-UG will be the common entrance test for MBBS course across the country for almost all government and private medical Colleges/Universities.

    Eligibility criteria for NEET (Proposed)
    • XII Academic Eligibility (Minimum percentage):
    1. 50% for General category student & 40% for SC/ST/OBC category student in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (i.e. aggregate).
    2. Students must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects individually.
    • Entrance Qualifying Criteria: Qualifying criterion has been changed from 50% of absolute marks in NEET to 50 percentile in NEET to ensure that no seat remains unfilled.
    • Age Eligibility (Minimum percentage):
    1. Minimum 17 years at the time of admission.
    2. Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC.
    • Number of Attempts: A maximum of three attempts.

    National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is for medical addmision after 10+2 student
    National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is very deep concept and cannot explain deeply here.
