    Hello Aspirant!

    If your college doesn't have any placement, then try for off campus employment interviews! University recruitment schemes are regularly conducted where a college will host an off campus interview and you, even though you may not be a student of that college [but are a part of the same university] can attend the interview / screening.

    Apart from that, if you are interested to do a job oriented course for software sector, since you have good command in basic programming languages already, it would be good if you joined some database language classes like SQL, MySQL, .NET Framework etc..

    You can also learn HTML, XHTML, CSS and other web designing softwares..These can actually be learnt for free online at w3schools.com, where at the completion of the course, you can also take up an exam and earn a certificate of completion

    You can also look into free online classes like edx.org and coursera.org which offer SAAS [software as a service] courses for free directly from foreign universities. You can get a cartificate from them also if you take up their exam and pass it.

    Since you have to be looking for a job now out of the campus, aim to make your resume as strong as possible! That will earn you good chances! Try joining coding sites like Topcoder which are quite infamous and if you do good coding there, you can fly sky high!

    All the very best!

    you can learn the following languages to make your CV stronger:
    .NET
    SQL
    .ASP
    PHP
    HTML
    GAME PROGRAMMING(for developing new games)
    C and C++ are the basic languages and if you have already learned them,then transition to other languages would be very easier for you.And don't worry,there are many online jobs too for software engineers.

    My dear friend.

    It is good to know that you have a good knowledge of C,C++.

    These are very important languages.

    Many other languages are based on them.

    If you are really willing to go forward in this field then go for the following:-

    --> Java

    --> .NET

    --> C#

    --> Objective C

    --> Visual Basic

    --> Javascript

    --> PHP etc.

    You can choose among the following and do your best in them.

    Then you will certainly get a good job.

    Best of luck with your career.
