    Hi dude....

Dude you can take up any of the course of study or can take up any subjects in your graduation which is not a problem for appearing to the civil services course of study and the civil services needs only just the completion of the graduation course of study or the bachelor degree course of study ....

IAS/IPS course of study is of the civil services limited course and this civil services course of study is done after the bachelor degree course of study and these IAS and IPS course of study is done through the civil services CSAT examination.

The CSAT examination is done for the candidates after the completion graduation course of study and these civil services examinations will be held for the candidates for the selection of one year long and these selections are conducted for 3 rounds of selection process and the first round of the selection will be of the aptitude test and after the completion of the CSAT examination and you need to appear for the mains examination and the mains examinations is of the theory test where you need to select the 2 subjects and the selections are done and the selections are done for the examination and after the selection process you will be getting the finale interview round....

After the interview you will be given the opportunity for the civil services selections..

The subjects in your graduation course of study will not be used for your civil services selections and you need to select the subjects for the mains examination where there will be many subjects in which you need to select the two subjects for the mains examinations...

    hi
there is no specif subjects that you should choose in order to be an IAS or IPS...
the minimum eligibility is that of being a graduate.....
completing your BA will enable you to be eligible....
well i would advise you to go through the subjects that you can choose in the examination of IAS or IPS....
after you go through the subject list you can choose your comfort zone(subjects which you can study yourself)and must take the harder ones as your subject in your BA>...
this will enable you to be well prepared and will save a lot of time of yours...

    best of luck
