But these type of combinations are strictly not allowed.

So, better opt for the subject in which you are good enough to cope up with the syllabus on time and the subject which seems easy for you to take full command over it.

Any of the above subjects are best for a BA graduate to opt for.

For subject selection, I will give you some ideas :

1) select the subjects which you have studied before.
2) Never select the easy subject, analyze its scoring value
3) past statistics reveals that subjects with 100 marks can acquire more marks than subjects with 200 marks.
4) Science subjects gives better scoring than their arts counterparts.
5) Languages are usually considered to be the high scoring subjects.
6) However, history subjects have better scoring averages.

For BA grads, as u have not specified the subjects u have studied in your graduation, it is better opt for political science and public administration. People who have opted Public administration have scored good marks. if u have opted literature as a major subject in your graduation, u can opt for that

Hello friend!its good to think about civils as earls as you can .as you have completed your B.A.degree,now you are eligible to give the IAS EXAM i.e.civil services exams.the exam is conducted by upsc on national level into 3 stages.;prelims,mains and interview.If you clear the prelims then only you will be able to give the mains.and then interview similarly.
you don't have to select subjects for the prelims ,the first stage as it shall now from 2011 comprises of 2 common compulsory papers
1-general studies
2-CSAT i.e. civil services aptitude test
for mains you have to select two subjects according to your own interest and capacity.
but most of the arts background candidates,whom i know personally,advise to select philosophy,public administration,political science,geography,history,economics etc.
but listen to what your heart says and choose the subjects.as it is you who has to study.so be very attentive while selecting your subjects.please choose that subject which you assure yourself that you can understand its concept well.good luck!

A degree is essential for appearing in Civil Service Examination. As a B.A graduate, you are eligible to appear for Civil Service Examination. The commission responsible for conducting the civil Service Examination is UPSC. The duration of the examination is two hours. Optional subjects are there in this exam. Candidates can select their own specialized subject. Optional subjects include History, Political Science and Philosophy etc. As a competitive exam, a thorough preparation is needed for this exam. Three stages are included in the civil exam. Candidates have to appear for a preliminary examination and after clearing this test you can appear for the final exam. The third step involves the interview.

6-public aaministration

so i don't have much idea..
paper1 any indian language(qualifying and 10thstandard)
paper2 english same qulifyimg 10th sandard
paper 3{general essay -wich subject 2 choose}
paper4-5(general studies it has 2 papers 300 marks each)
then papaer6,7,8,9 (2subjects each having 2 papers of 300 marks each)

plz throw light ki kisme kaun sa subject duun..and dat shud be scoring also
