For NDA exam all 12th class pass are eligible.

    But not for all posts.

In able to become eligible for all posts you need to take PCM in 11th and 12th class.

    - PCM stands for Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Age is limited for NDA exam as: 16.5 to 19 years.

    Hi aspirant,

National Defence Academy provides Indian youth to serve their motherland and protect it from invaders.
It has greatly helped India by strengthening the defense force of India which prevented Pakistanis from claiming part of Motherland.
Indian soldiers had also put a good fight against Chinese soldiers which at last forced them to withdraw from India.
This shows the significance and Bravery of soldiers who have sacrificed their soul and body to save India.
Their entire life they spent defending the country without any selfishness in their mind and giving away the greed towards the luxury life.

Thats why Indian Defense officer can be defined by the quotes from Bhagavat Gita:
" Karmanevadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachina " (Your duty is action with no eye on the fruits it will bring).

National Defence Academy is the only means for the intermediate students to be recruited into the Indian Defense Services.
Applicants have to pass this exam conducted by UPSC.
After this exam they have to go for the Interview which will test candidate's general aptitude, psychological stability, team spirit as well as physical and social skills.
After that a medical Test will be conducted because remaining fit in all respects are important.
From all the applicants only 66 will be admitted into Air Force, 39 in Navy and 195 in Army.

    * As a 11th standard you should take science subjects so that so that you can be eligible for all the examination.
    * There is no restriction of courses for army but for Navy and Air force there is compulsion for Science pursuing.
    * There is no need for any computer Science or IT subjects so do not think about it.
    * Pursuing mathematics will help you to solve reasoning and probability answers and for Science subjects only tenth based questions are asked.
    * But if want to join NDA under technical entry scheme then it would be better for you to go for electronics.
    * Beside all this studies you should be always uptodate about the regional as well as national news.
    * You can also try to play SUDOKU to sharpen your mind.
    * You should maintain a proper playing schedule so that your flexibility and eye sight will be good which should remain 6/6.
