    hi

subject should I choose after completing 12th to become IAS Officer
There is no specific rule to select the subjects in your 12th or Degree you can just go with your interest

As you're just a student of 12th don't need concentrate that seriously on the preparation for IAS because this is the exam which will be written after your Graduation you just need to have this attitude for your future goal

you should do these things so that they will help you when you start your orginal preparation

->follow all the news paper daily's get updated with all the issues do the deep research and make some points and maintain some note book

->Current affairs is also a very important section you should get updated in all areas like

    politics

    sports

    entertainment and

    what not everything

this about the strategy that a year student must follow

When you perfectly start your preparation for IAS then

then the preparation plan must be like this

Preparation for IAS can be done in different way according to the tastes and preference of the individual

but very important fact is all the plans will have the following main qualities..

-> you should make smart plans according to the time available for the exam

-> You should strongly determine towards your goal..

-> You should also be hard working and also a smart planner of the
    preparation..
-> You should be well aware of what the syllabus and pattern..
This is all about the your question

    good luck

Re: Which subject should I choose after completing 12th to become IAS Officer in Future?

Look you basically choose a stream after 10th class out of
science, commerce or arts to study in 10+2.
After 12 th class , you generally continue to do graduation
course in the same stream. So If you were from science stream
go for engineering , Bsc or whatever you like.
If you are from Commerce background then go for Bcom, BBA etc.
It does not make any impact on your eligibility for Civil services exams.
For IAS you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised
    university of India.

    friend,

You are free to choose any stream to be eligible for IAS entrance exams but you have to be graduate
or have a bachelor's degree in any field from any recognized university to be eligible for the ias entrance exams.

I think you should go for science subjects stream because it has many career prospects as compared to
other streams. You can also go for other jobs afterwards if at all your mood changes or interest changes.

AGE LIMIT :21 to 30 years.

Number of attempts for general candidates:four attempts.
Number of attempts for OBC candidates:seven attempts.
Number of attempts for SC/ST candidates:no limit on number of attempts.

to become a IAS officer eligibility is being a graduate. you can complete your 12th and pursue any degree course and after becoming Graduate u can apply for IAS civil services exam.
any graduation is fine.. but fiirst complete 12th with high marks concentrate on it. before joining any degree take a look at the major subjects available for civil services exam. you can then decide on which subjects to choose for civil services and join degree accordingly so that you can put more effort on those particular subjects..

Re: Which subject should I choose after completing 12th to become IAS Officer in Future?

There is no such particular subject which you should choose in order to become an IAS(Indian administrative service) in future.
You would be surprised to know that the maximum candidates that clear this examination are not out of science or commerce field but they are out of
arts which generally does not have much scope in the corporate world.

The procedure to become an IAS can be explained as follows:
    1)Preliminary examination:
Firstly you have to clear a preliminary examination after which you would be eligible to move on to the next level of examination.
This is an objective examination and any student from any state of India can appear in this examination if he or she satisfies all of the necessary conditions.

    2)Main examination-
This is the second step in the process of becoming an IAS.if you have cleared the previous stage you would be eligible to appear for this examination. This is an subjective examination and you have select subjects according to your choice. Many students select subjects which they have already studied in their graduation.

    3)Personal Interview-
This is the most critical stage in the process of clearing this examination. You can appear in any language in which you want to appear the interview.

Re: Which subject should I choose after completing 12th to become IAS Officer in Future?

There is no such particular subject which you should choose in order to become an IAS officer.
If you want to become an IAS, IES, IPS, IRS, etc, then you have to face CSE(civil services examination).
There are three stages to pass any of these examinations. The following procedure can be explained as follows:

    1)Preliminary examination-
Firstly you have to clear the initial level in this procedure. This is an objective examination which you have to clear in order to move
on to the next level.Any candidate from whatever stream or discipline can appear for this examination.

    2)Mains examination-
The second step in the procedure is the mains examination. This is a subjective examination and usually two exams of 3 hours each are conducted at each particular day of the examination. This is one of the most difficult step in the whole process as the syllabus is very wide.

    3)Personal interview:
Only a certain number of candidates are able to reach upto this level. This is a tough interview in which many students are rejected because of lack of self confidence.Only a few hundreds are able to clear this stage. You can appear in Hindi or English according to your own choice.

For the IAS exam the minimum qualification is graduation
if you are graduate then you will apply for the IAS exam
it is one of the toughest exam conducted by UPSC.
you have to give two tests for the IAS and after that interview if you have qualified the interview after that
    you became an IAS officer....
after 12th i think you would choose arts stream because most of the syllabus
of IAS is related with arts stream and along with your graduation you can do preparation for IAS exam.....
so it is best to choose arts for IAS exam.....

IAS -- Indian Administrative Services .

To get into IAS after 12th , you choose Bachelors of Degree Programme in any discipline .

The Best to choose is BA or B.Com .

BA -- Bachelor of Arts and
    B.Com -- Bachelor of Commerce .

Both these course lasts 3yrs duration only .
Both of these course will help you in facing the Entrance Examination of Civils .

In 12th class one can not decide for the subjects for IAS exam ,In 12th class you can choose any subject depending upon your interest.Generally students go for arts subjects like history and all,But its not necessary for you to take history subject ,you can choose subjects depending upon your interest .There will be many subjects from your graduation so you can take any of them,You can start preparing for general knowledege from now itself, that will be really helpfull for IAS exam.

    • Min examination..

After clearing the preliminary examination you are eligible for main examination..

    Eligibility for IAS:

You must complete your Graduation from any recognized university.
Your age should not more than 30 years and not less than 21 years. The upper age limit will be applicable for ST/SC/OBC candidates...
You should be citizen from India..

    Number of attempts:

    4 for General candidates
    7 for OBC candidates
    No limit for ST/SC candidates..

    Age qualifications:

    3 years for OBC candidates
    5 years for ST/Sc candidates
    10 years for PH candidates...

    Examination pattern:

The Preliminary examination should consist of 2 papers. This is objective type exam. After clearing the preliminary examination you can go for Main examination..

Main examination should consist of 9 papers. Here you have to choose the optional subjects.Main examination is one of the descriptive examination. After clearing the main examination you can go for final Interview..

Here subject is not a matter....Graduation is the minimum eligibility for IAs....

Re: Which subject should I choose after completing 12th to become IAS Officer in Future?

To make career in any stream, you should have basic knowledge of what actually the designation means.
For example, if you wants to become an IAS officer then you should have complete knowledge of what actually these designation stands for.
IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.
India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

    Eligibility Criteria :-
The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

Paper Pattern for UPSC exam :-
It is basically of two types like Prelims and Main.
    1) Paper pattern for prelim :-
    a) Optional Subjects (300 marks)
    b) General Studies (150 marks)
    2) Paper pattern for Mains :-
In mains, there are 9 papers to appear for.

Now as you are in class 12th carry healthy marks in final exam and go for graduation. Complete it with very good score and go for UPSC and then if you can succed then your dream will be fulfilled.

You can choose any streams and pass with good marks and then go for graduation, after graduation you will be eligible for ias exam.To become ias is very proud feeling but to work good after that is too much proud feeling for country development, remmember this post is full of risk but if you like to take risk then go for it.But after every risk the success is waiting for us.There is no such restriction to take any stream,so the stream in which you feel free or you like most ,there you can go.
