First of all you will have to clear the preliminary test. Being selected in Prelims you will have to sit in the main examination. There you can select a optional subject of your graduation background.

As you are a commerce graduate you can choose accountancy or stastics or management according to your choice. the completed detail of this course are-To work as a IAS officer one should take the Indian Civil Service Examination carried out by the UPSC. To apply for the Civil service examination the candidate should have a bachelor degree in any discipline. A graduate with 50% in the qualifying exam under the recognized university is eligible to apply for the exam. The minimum age required to sit for the exam is 21. The maximum age bound is confined as 30. The criteria for the IAS exam are decided by the UPSC board. There is some relaxation for the reservation category. For a candidate from the OBC category will get 3 years relaxation time and that of SC/ST will get 5 years relaxation in the age criteria. It is good to see that you are interested in IAS examination. But to become a IAS officer, you need to appear for the UPSC Civil services examination, And to apply for this examination you need to complete your graduation course in any discipline from a recognised university And there is no minimum percentage eligibility criteria to apply for this examination.

The examination is divided into 2 stages - First Preliminary examination and then Main examination.

Preliminary examination is must for everyone and after clear this examination you are eligible for Main examination. Preliminary examination are conducted into 2 parts, paper I and Paper II. Both the papers are Objective type of 200 Marks and same duration. So Preliminary examination is compulsory for every one and this is the Ist stage of Civil services examination. After clear this examination you are eligible for main examination and for main examination you have to opt a optional subject on the basis of your graduation subject.

So after completing your B.com you can apply for Civil services examination and you can choose COMMERCE & ACCOUNTANCY, ECONOMICS OR MANAGEMENT Subject in Main examination, But you have to choose any one subject from the given list.
