    Yes, as per the revised rules, the B.Com graduates are also eligible to attend the CTET exam. The basic qualification required is a graduation degree. One should be either a BA/B.Sc /B.com graduate. It should be from any recognized and reputed institute. Also what is important is to score 50% marks in the graduation level. A B.Ed degree is also important for applying for the teaching positions. Even while being in the final year of B.Ed course one can apply for the CTET exam. The mode of application will be specified in the notifications.

    Central Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE for appointment of teachers in govt. schools in India for classes I to VIII. The eligible candidates have to pass the CTET Exam which consists of two papers.

    CTET ELIGIBILITY

    Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V: Primary Stage Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in lementary Education (by whatever name known).
    OR
    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

    The following persons are eligible for appearing in the CTET.

    Yes off course students from commerce back ground are eligible for CTET(Central teacher eligibility test)
    which is conducted to select candidates who are suitable to be teachers and who desire to make teaching as their profession.
    Candidates from any profession, be it science, commerce, arts or humanities are eligible to appear in this exam.

    Eligibility for appearing in the CTET :

    Minimum Qualifications for Classes I - V :-

    Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI - VIII :-

    Important Dates :

    There will be two papers of CTET :

    Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.

    Applicability of CTET Exam :-

    1. The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UT of Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

    2. CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

    3. Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.

    Yes they are eligible for CTET Examination . . .

    CTET is a Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

    In this there is following post-


    Teacher(for classes I to V): Primary Stage

    Teacher(for classes Vi to VII): Elementary Stage


    Eligibility according to the Primary Stage:

    Graduation of two years Diploma in Elementary education.

    At least 45% of marks in Diploma or Bachelor Elementary Education.


    Eligibility according to Elementary Stage:

    Graduation with at least 50% marks in Diploma or Bachelor Elementary Education or B.ed.


    Important Dates:

    Sale of Application Form:5th Nov to 25th Nov 2011

    Online registration opening:1 November 2011

    Closing:25 Nov 2011

    Last date for receipt of Application form in CBSE(Central Board of Secondary education):30 Nov 2011 both online and offline

    Yes,you are eligible for CTET Exam,as basic qualification is that you should be a graduate with atleast 50% marks.
    If you are a B.com/BA/B.sc graduate you are eligible.
    Also, you should have B.ed degree if you want to teach secondary level students.

    Central Teacher Eligibility Test i.e CTET :

    This is conducted by the central board of secondary education i.e CBSE and this is inviting the application forms for teacher post in various schools.

    For this test generally required educational qualifications are you must completed the 10+2/ diploma in elementary education and also completed the graduation / B.ED are eligible for CTET.

    Eligibility for CTET:

    For this test you can appear for teaching two groups like;.Class-I to Class-V & Class VI to Class-VIII,so you can follow bellow;..

    Yes ,students with Commerce background are eligible for this CTET Exam



    CTET examination is conducted every year by the Central broad of the Education.The examination is conducted for recruiting teacher for students from I to VIII. .The CTET is conducted once a year.

    Eligibility for the examination ::

    For class I to V::

    The interested candidates must have passed the senior secondary with at least 50% marks .

    Final year students of their diploma can also apply for the examination .

    For class VI to VIII:

    The interested candidates must have completed graduation in any streams with at least 50% marks

    Pattern of the examination ::There will be two papers of CTET.

    Paper I : Only for those students who are applying for classes I to V.


    Paper II: Only for those students who are applying for classes VI to VIII.


    Students interested in teaching for both level have to appear for the both papers.

    The CTET scores valid for seven years

    You can apply for the exam as many times as you want to there is no limitation in number of attempts

    CTET 2012 -Important Dates Tentative ::

    Starting date for the submission of online application: 01-11-2011
    Closing date for the submission of online application: 25-11-2011
    Last date for the receipt of application by post: 30-11-2011
    Written test: 29-01-2012
    Paper-I: 10:00am to 11:30am
