Re: Is a student of ITI eligible to do degree through Lateral Entry scheme?

No,you cannot join Degree courses on the basis of I.T.I.
But you can directly join Diploma second year through Lateral entry on the basis of I.T.I. by fulfilling the simple eligibility condition of minimum 60 % in I.T.I.
After completing your Diploma, only then you can directly join B.tech second year through Lateral entry scheme.
So I would suggest you to complete your Diploma first, then you can go for Degree courses.
    All the best.

Re: Is a student of ITI eligible to do degree through Lateral Entry scheme?

It is impossible for you to get admission in any Degree programs on the basis of I.T.I..
According to the eligibility criteria,to get admission in any Bachelor courses you must have completed your 12th or its equivalent.
I.T.I. is not equivalent to 12th,so you cannot apply for Degree programs.
The best option for you after I.T.I. is to join Diploma in any field of Engineering.
On the basis of your I.T.I. marks you will directly get admission to Diploma second year.moreover you need not to give any Entrance test.
After completing your Diploma you will be eligible for direct admission in second year of B.tech degree.
    All the best.

Re: Is a student of ITI eligible to do degree through Lateral Entry scheme?

    hello friend

there are two types of degree level programmes are avilable.

the 1st one is bachalor degree course

and the second one is master degree course

now bachalor degree includes the following courses, which are listed velow:::

    b.tech

    bba

    bbm

    bca

    b.sc

    etc.......

and master degree coursea are __>

    m.tech

    mba

    pgdm

    mca
    etc....

but you can go for a lateral entry only in b.tech

you don't have any option to take admission in any other courses through lateral entry.

you can take admission directly in 2nd year after complitting iti, polytecnic.

you will also get so many benefits in jobs if you will do the same

    best of luck

    thanks
