    hi
for your +2 level you need to choose science stream....and then u can choose PCMB or PCM.....i would advise you to take PCM as your aim is clear on the other hand PCMB will offer you the flexibility to choose between medical and non medical stream at a later stage....
but one of the demerit of PCMB is the vastness of the course....with such a vastness it is a bit difficult to cope up for students....well after your +2 you have appear entrance exams like that of JEE and entrance exams conducted by many deemed universities....then you have have to score well as mechanical engineering is the most sought after branch.....

    best of luck do well

After 10th to become a Mechanical engineer you are to get admission in 12th having Science Back Ground with physics/Chemistry/Mathematics.You are to obtain minimum 55% marks in 12 final to compete JEE/AIEEE to
get the desired Mechanical Engineering seat to become a Mechanical Engineer in Good Engineering colleges.

    Thank You,

    Dear friend
To do Mechanical Engineering after 10th class first you need to take science stream in intermediate course. You can take MPC(Maths,Physics,Chemistry) branch in intermediate course. After completion of intermediate you need to write Eamcet exam.If you qualify the Eamcet exam, you can opt the Mechanical Engineering branch and if you get good percentage of about 60% or above, you will get high job opportunities in top companies with high salary package of about 4-5lakhs per year.
    GOOD LUCK
