To become an aeronautical engineer one has to be a science student and thus has to study PCM group (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) after his 10th.
One has to secure at least 60 % of marks.
Physical fitness and good eye sight is also mandatory.
Students interested in a career in aeronautical engineering need to take the entrance exam specified by the respective institute.
Some institutes accept scores of common entrance exams whereas there are others that conduct their own entrance tests.

To become the aeronautical engineer you should select the science group(physics, maths and chemistry) in your +2 or its equivivalent examination.

you should have a good aggregate

    aeronautical engineering:

the specializations in the aeronautical engineering are

    1.structural design

    2.navigational guidance and control systems

3.instrumentation and communication or production methods

list of institutes offering aeronautical engineering:

    iit-kanpur

    iit-madras

    iit-delhi

    iit-kanpur

    iit-kharagpur

    HELLO..

Aeronautical engineering is a very promising and unique career option..

You should choose science as your stream for 11th and 12th with the following subjects
    ->PHYSICS
    ->CHEMISTRY
    ->MATHEMATICS

After completing your +2 you can appear for different kind of entrance exams

->first and foremost IITs and NITs..
i think most of the IITs and NITs have aeronautical engineering subject..

->private colleges like BITS PILANI,VIT,SHARDA,LPU.. which have their own
entrances..after qualifying in the entrance you can choose aeronatical..

->And there are some colleges which offer aeronautical engineering exclusively
    like
    -SCHOOL OF AERONAUTICS ,DELHI
    -STAR AVIATION ACADEMY
    -INDIAN INSTITUTE OF AERONAUTICS,DEHRADUN
    -HINDUSTAN AVIATION ACADEMY,KARNATAKA
    and many more..

    THANK YOU.......rakesh

    hai,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
dear you have to be strong in physics, chemistry and mathematics afetr your 10th to do aeronautical engineering ,so you have to select
MPC in your 111th and 12th to get eligible for teh aeronautical engineering,

aeronautical engineering is a specialized engineering stream that deals with the designing ,
    • manufacturing,
    • testing,
    • and maintenance of aircraft in commercial aviation and defence sectors ,
unlike aerospace engineering ,a course in aeronautical engineering will make you to study of advanced
    • level physics,
    • mathematics,
    • with emphasis on thermodynamics ,
    • propulsion systems,
    • fluid mechanics,
    • applied mathematics,
    • and aero dynamics.
in aeronautical engineering the courses offered are
    under graduate courses are
    • B.TECH in aeronautical engineering,
    • B.E in aeronautical engineering,
    post graduate courses are
    • M.TECH in aeronautical engineering,
    • M.TECH in avionics,
    • M.E in aeronautical engineering,
    • M.E in avionics,
    eligibility for undergraduate level.
you must have same eligibility like B.TECH ,you must have 10+2 (physics, chemistry, maths) with 50% of marks to get eligible.
and also english is compulsory for you at 10+2 level.
    age limit
    • you must have 17-21 years of age.
    eligibility for post graduate level.
if you want to get admission in the post graduate level than you must have degree in aeronautical or aerospace engineering .
and also you must have 50% of marks in the qualifying examination.
    eligibility for the doctoral level
to eligible for this course you must have post graduation in aeronautical or aerospace engineering .
and you must also have valid GATE course.
various entrance exams for undergraduate level
    • AIEEE,
    • IIT,
    • EAMCET and various state level exams.
some of the good institutes are
    • institute of aeronautical engineering-Hyderabad,
    • manipal institute of technology,manipal university-manipal,
    • Hindustan institute of technology and science, Hindustan university-Chennai,
    • MVJ college of engineering-banglore,
    • PEC university of technology-CHANDIGARH,
    • madras institute of technology , Anna university-Chennai,
    • inidan institute of aeronautical engineering and information technology-pune,
    • inidan academy of aeronautical engineering-Lucknow,
    • institute of aeronautical and marine engineering-banglore.
    so dear all teh best
