    You can choose any specialisation during 11th and 12th standard. Candidates with any education background can pursue this stream. After 12th standard you can join any of the film institutes to learn the basic in cinematography. Some of institutes may conduct an aptitude test for the same. The duration of these courses will vary. There are various certification and diploma courses offered in this area. Initially to start with you can apply for the assistant technician post. The starting salary will be around Rs 20000/-. Both experience and creativity are important in this field.

    Hello Friend

    Cinematographer ( Videographer, Camera man or Woman ) is one of the most important person in Film making where he shots the scene and works with the ideas of the Director to make the scene look more natural and beautiful.

    With an advanced technology came to use in Film shooting, the cinematographer makes use of various advanced techniques to shot the scene and make the preproduction work. The work lies mainly on yours to adjust the lights, camera etc as per the requirements of the Director to take a scene.

    In order to succeed as a Cinematographer you have to make updated with new techniques and also you must know the correct usage of different camera lenses, you are the final person to bring the imaginary efforts of the Director and creativity efforts of the Screenplay writer.

    Eligibility :

    Educational qualification :

    There is no specific branch to pursue in order to make your destiny to be a good Cinematographer, you can carry minimum 10+2 qualification with minimum percentage of marks from any recognized board, If you have professional Degree in any field then it will be good.

    Age :

    There is no specific age limit, and you can take up the field of your interest.

    the requirements for becoming a cinematographer in future is given below:

    1.educational qualification:

    -- The minimum requirement for admission into a cinematography programme is plus two. After plus two you may go for various certificate and diploma courses in cinematography to acquire knowledge in the field.

    Hey friend you should better opt for science stream containing physics, chemistry and maths as the main subjects. Then you can go forward with the Film and Television Diploma course which is of 1-2 years and then you can go for Film Editing, Cinematography or Film Processing. Further you can get job in Film Production or TV Channels.

    Hi aspirant,

    It's Nice to that you're interested in being a cinematographer. But I should remind you that to be a cinematographer you should have a sense of creativity and beauty. Nowadays many films are released in a single year but only some of them succeed to the "WOW" of viewers. Some great examples of previous year are Barfi, Kahani and Paan Singh Tomar.

    These films whole credit can be given to the director and the cinematographers who were behind all those creative displays. To become a cinematographer you have to pursue film making course in your graduation study. Or else you can join any Film Institution and thereafter get suitable branch suitable for completion of your dream.

    Required Eligibility :
    • Aspirant should have passed/appearing 10+2 or It's Equivalent Qualification in science field from recognized Institution or University and should score Minimum 50% Percentage of marks in Order to get admission for this Course .
    • There is no requirement of any age limits.
    • Student of only arts and science stream are eligible for this course, Commerce students are deemed ineligible for this course.

    Courses you can pursue:

    According to your information you are completing the 12th class in science field, then you can apply for undergraduate course in various specializations and apart from some of the course and specializations are given bellow:

    So, I suggest you to Concentrate more on Entrance Examination , If you get good marks in Entrance Examination , then you may get admission for this Course.
