    hello aspirant
after 10th standard generally candidates take admission into intermediate course
in intermediate various groups are there
    >>MPC-in this group maths, physics, chemistry are the main subjects
    >>Bi.P.c-botany,zoology,physics,chemistry
so these both are science stream subjects and CEC,HEC,MEC groups also available in intermediate
you may also interest in physical science with mathematics you may choose MPC group
    >>other then some polytechnic diplomas also available for 10th pass out candidates
    they are
    >>Diploma in civil engineering
    >>Diploma in Mechanical engineering
    >>Diploma in electronics and communication(EC)
    >>Diploma in computer science etc
some other science related courses also available for 10th qualified candidates
such as diploma in agriculture, veterinary science
but you are interested in maths stream so you may choose to MPC strerm or POLYTECHNIC courses according to interest and goal
i wish you good luck you for your career

    >NIFT
    >NDA

    ENGINEERING ENTRAANCE EXAMS:-

Re: Which stream should I opt after 10th if I'm greatly interested in mathematics?

    FRIEND,

There are Four streams which are available after 10th class and they are:

    1)SCIENCE
    2)COMMERCE
    3)ARTS
    4)FINE ARTS

So it depends on your interest in which field you wanted to go so first of all make up your mind and then go for that stream.

But the stream which I will suggest you is COMMERCE if you are only interested in MATHEMATICS and Not in SCIENCE so you should go for COMMERCE.

    1)ACCOUNTANCY
    2)MATHEMATICS
    3)ECONOMICS
    4)OPTIONAL SUBJECTS

And if you are interested in SCIENCE SUBJECTS too then you should go for the SCIENCE STREAM which has subjects

    1)PHYSICS
    2)CHEMISTRY
    3)MATHEMATICS/BIOLOGY or BOTH
    4)ENGLISH
    5)OPTIONAL SUBJECT

    GOOD LUCK.

    hi..
AS YOU ARE SO MUCH INTERESTED IN MATHEMATICS AND IF YOU ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN STUDYING MATHEMATICS ,I WILL

SUGGEST TO GO FOR NON MEDICAL STREAM OF SCIENCE. IN THAT STREAM YOU HAVE YOU HAVE MATHEMATICS AS COMPULSORY

SUBJECT WITH PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY IN WHICH PHYSICS ALSO CONTAINS SOME AMOUNT OF ESSENTIAL MATHEMATICS.

BUT IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SCIENCE SUBJECTS I.E. PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY,THEN YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE COMMERCE

    Hi dude,

As you are interested in maths then i suggest you to first get in to MPC in 11th and 12th.

After completing 10th option for MPC course.

    MPC includes MATHS,PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY subjects.

So as you are student who is interested in maths you can take MPC.

After completing 12th write ENGINEERING entrance exams and get in to ENGINEERING.

Because Math`s is also inluded in ENGINEERING !

To get into engineering you need to Qualify the engineering entrance exam.

Some of the engineering entrance exams are:-

    EAMCET

    AIEEE

    IIT-JEE

To apply for this exam :-

You need to be below 24 years to apply for this exam.

You can apply only 3 times for this exam.

You should apply for three consecutive years if you want.

The exam is conducted as objective type.

Subjects include in this exam are PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY,MATHS.

So prepare well and crack the exam !

    ALLTHE BEST !!!

Re: Which stream should I opt after 10th if I'm greatly interested in mathematics?

    Hi Buddy,

As you have keen interest in Maths you can opt out for various courses after 12th standard for which Physics, Chemistry and Maths in 11 th and 12 th are the the three fundamental subjects to get admission in B-Tech, it would be better for you take up some entrance examinations for you to get admission in B.Tech.

Some of the competitive examinations are

    1. IIT-JEE
    2. AIEEE
    3. EAMCET
    4. BITSAT
    5. VITEE
    6. JNU EEE
    7. AMIE

You can take any of the above competitive exams and after clearing the examination you can join some of the top colleges/universities in India, you must choose between the groups or area of specialization which you are interested in so that you can lead a successful career.

The top groups in Engineering which most of the students prefer are

    Electronics and Communication Engineering
    Computer Science Engineering
    Information Technology
    Electronics and Electronics Engineering
    Mechanical Engineering
    Civil Engineering
    Aeronautical Engineering
    Automobile Engineering
    Chemical Engineering
    Mechatronics
    Metallurgy

If you wish to choose a future other than engineering then you can go for

    Graduation --> Post Graduation

    B.A (Maths) --> M.A (Maths)
    B.Sc (Maths) --> M.Sc (Maths)
    B.C.A --> M.C.A

By choosing any of the above specialization you will be having a great future every course/specialization has it's own importance and opportunities so depending upon your interest consult with your parents and make a decision.

    All The Best.

You have mentioned that you are greatly interested in computers but are confused in respect of the stream which you should
opt for.Actually computers are not a separate stream in many colleges of India. You can select computers as your optional or
in some cases as your main subject. There are a number of options in front of you which can be mentioned as follows:
    1)Commerce-
You can select commerce as your stream if you want to make a career in the field of finance. For this purpose you should have
knowledge of basic mathematics and should be ready to gain a lot of knowledge about commerce, trade and industry.

    2)Science-
You can select science as your stream if you want to make a career in the field of real life sciences.
In this field you would be required to study subjects such as biology, chemistry ,Physics and Mathematics.

    3)Arts and humanities-
You can select arts or humanities as your stream if you are interested in subjects related to social science
such as History,Civics, Geography, etc.For this stream, you should have a good hand on theory subjects.
