You have made a good decision to enter in to civil service. The minimum qualification for appearing for civil service exam is to have completed graduation. You can take up any stream. Since civil service is highly competitive exam you should choose an optional subject where you have good knowledge. Even if you study any stream you can choose subject of your choice. Start updating current affairs from now onwards. It will help you later when appearing for civil service exam. With good preparation and hard work you can definitely become IAS officer.

There is no such particular stream which you should opt for in order to become an IAS9Indian administrative services)
officer in future. For the time being you should select a stream depending on your interests and aspirations
for example you can choose commerce, arts, science, humanities, etc.And you should fully concentrate on your
studies. You should try to get a good percentage in board exams of higher secondary as it would greatly help you
in making a good career. After completing your 12th, you should select a suitable graduation course and after that you
can appear for IAS(Indian administrative services) exam or Civil services exam.
