Re: Which stream should I opt after 10th to become an IAS officer in future?

There is no particular stream which a student should choose just after completing his or her 10th standard in order to become a civil servant.
You should select a stream according to your own interests and aspirations for example science , commerce, arts or humanities, etc.
After that you should devote your full attention and you have a focussed approach towards your studies. You should study hard as the percentage obtained by you in
11th and higher secondary is quite important and having a good percentage would greatly help to make a good future.
After that you should select a course depending on your choice and after completing your graduation you would become eligible to appear for civil services examination.
But as far as the preparation is concerned you can start preparing right from the second year of graduation.

Re: Which stream should I opt after 10th to become an IAS officer in future?

To make career in any stream, you should have basic knowledge of what actually the designation means.
For example, if you wants to become an IAS officer then you should have complete knowledge of what actually these designation stands for.
IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.
India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

    Eligibility Criteria :-
The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

Paper Pattern for UPSC exam :-
It is basically of two types like Prelims and Main.
    1) Paper pattern for prelim :-
    a) Optional Subjects (300 marks)
    b) General Studies (150 marks)
    2) Paper pattern for Mains :-
In mains, there are 9 papers to appear for.

Now as you are in class 12th carry healthy marks in final exam and go for graduation. Complete it with very good score and go for UPSC and then if you can succed then your dream will be fulfilled.

    Hi
You can take civil services examination for IAS using any subject available from Science,Arts,Commerce or engineering streams. 10th is very early stage to decide
your subjects in IAS examination. Please select any stream based on your interest and other career goals apart from IAS. Once you are in you graduation you can decide
your subjects for IAS based on your interest and other factors like good scoring papers. You can choose any subject irrespective of your current stream. Suppose you go to
Commerce stream but you can select Mathematics and Geography for IAS as they are good scoring papers.

    Dear friend.

To become an IAS officer you have to go for an national level exam called as Indian civil Services exam.

To be eligible for the exam:
    >>you have to be an Indian national/pakistani/Bhutani/Burma or nepal with an intension of permanently settling in India.
    >>You have to be a graduate in any discipline of arts, science or commerce.
    >>you can attempt the exam just 4 times if from the general category, 7times for the OBC candidates and unlimited no. of times for the SC/ST candidates.
    >>you have to be 21 to 30 years of age. There is 3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC and 5 years for the SC/ST candidates and ex service men

So that means you have to enter in to any discipline after 10th-arts/commerce/science to become IAS.
But there is a suggstion from me:
*If you want to be come an IAS officer only then choose arts as the main subject in 11th as the arts students qualify more in the exam
*If you want to have a bright future other than IAS then go with science stream

    Exam pattern:

    Good luck
