If you want to become chemical engineer for that you will have to take
science in 11th as well as in 12th . Science is compulsory for a candidate
if wants to do engineering in future . As you said that you want to
become chemical engineer for that you will have to appear in various
entrance exam through which you will get admission in any engineering
college . These exam may be AIEEE .or state CET . after clearing this exam
you are eligible to get admission in any engineering college on the basis of
your rank that you have scored in all these exam .Best of luck .

To do chemical engineering, one must have passed 10+2 with science stream. Necessary subjects are ( Physics, Maths, and chemistry). So You should choose science stream with maths. Remaining subjects you can choose according to your interest. Also to get admission in good colleges for chemical engineering, you need to face competitive engineering entrance exams like IIT-JEE, AIEEE etc. These exams really have good competition. You need to score very well to secure a seat in good college. So i suggest you to start preparing for these exams from 11th itself. You can also join any coaching institute for IIT. These institutes provides you complete study material and also conducts mock tests. You need to work hard in 11-12. As you have to manage both your 11-12 studies and iit-jee preparation. All the best.

Re: Which stream should i choose if i want to do chemical engineering after completing 10th?

to do engineering in any stream you should complete your 12th class with physics chemistry and mathematics as mandatory subject.
upon for completion of 12th class you can apply for engineering admission with these marks by calculating your cut off as maths/2+physics/4+chemistry/4 and with your cutoff mark you can apply for engineering admission.
to apply for colleges all over india you need to take up entrance exams like AIEEE or IIT-JEE again for which you should have comleted 12th class with physics chemistry and mathematics as mandatory subjects.
so as of now after your 10th class choose PCM stream in 11th class and upon completion of 12th you can join in engineering course of your choice
    Gud luck.

    Hi friend ,

To become a chemical Engineer you should choose Science stream.

To give any Engg.Entrance exam you need your 10+2 passed with science stream with PCM as your main subject.

In India only Few colleges Offer a course in CHEMICAL ENGINEERING .
As per to my knowledge ,All the IITs and few NITs Offer this course.
And to get admission in IIT's and NITs you must first clear Entrance exam conducted by them IIT-JEE and AIEEE respectively
they are no easy to crack .

first you need to pass your 10+2 with minimum of 60% aggregate and In PCM too altogether you should have 60%.
In IIT=JEE you have only 2 chance to clear it .
In AIEEE you have # chances

    SO study hard .
    Good Luck!

After 10th you can give the Joint Entrance Test(JET) to take admission in diploma in chemical engineering,
JET is based on 10th and according to your JET rank you will get admission in diploma
After completing diploma you can take direct admission in B.Tech second year, through Lateral Entry Test(LEET)
LEET is based on diploma and according to LEET rank you will get engineering college.

    Best of luck

Re: Which stream should i choose if i want to do chemical engineering after completing 10th?

Firstly i will clear you for any engineering course you must have to passed 12th with Non medical stream.
In Non Medical following subjects are include-
    Physics
    Chemistry
    Maths
    English
    1 Optional Subject.
For becoming Chemical Engineer you have must above subjects and then you have to appeared in AIEEE exam and based on your rank you will get College and then you can choose any branch i.e. Chemical Or other,.
So firstly you have to do that choose Non Medical Stream and then think about of AIEEE exam.

    Hello friend,

As you want to join Chemical Engineering in future,so you should join Science stream.
After completing your 12th,you need to appear for the National level Engineering Entrance exams like AIEEE,IIT-JEE.
For appearing in these entrance tests you should complete your 12th with Physics,Chemistry,Maths as compulsory subjects with minimum 60% marks.
There are very few Engineering colleges in India which offers Chemical Engineering.
But according to me all IITs and few NITs offers Chemical Engineering.IITs and NITs are considered as the best Engineering colleges in India.
To get admissions in these colleges, you will have to score a high rank in the Entrances tests, which is not easy to get.
So,you have to study really hard in order to crack the Engineering Entrance tests.

    All the best for future.

Chemical Engineering is also a branch of Engineering. So to get admission in Chemical Engineering in future. You should select Science stream in 11th,12th.You should complete your 12th with Physics,Chemistry,Maths as compulsory subjects. You should also complete your 12th with minimum 60% marks,it will make you eligible for National level Engineering entrance tests such as AIEEE,IIT-JEE.On the basis of your rank in these entrance tests you will be assigned colleges. There are very less Engineering colleges in India which offer Chemcal Engineering. But,according to me all the IITs,few NITs and other reputed colleges offer Chemical Engineering. For getting admission in these colleges you should have to score a high rank in the Entrance tests, which is not very easy to get. So,you should study very hard for cracking these Entrance exams.

    All the best.

Re: Which stream should i choose if i want to do chemical engineering after completing 10th?

    Engineering ::

Well if you have decided to do chemical engineering then i thinks you should take a science streams .Because only science streams students can apply for the engineering streams after 12th .But you choose physics, maths and chemistry as a compulsory subjects in class 12th .Only then you will be allowed to appear for the exam which are done for engineering admission .If you have biology as a subjects then you can not apply for the engineering .

So the first thing is that you must have chosen the physics and maths as a compulsory subjects in class 11th .There are many IIT's and NIT's and other good colleges for the engineering courses .Since you have decided to do the chemical engineering then i would says its a very good branch and it has quite wide scope in the future. To get admission in the best colleges you have to appear for the entrance exams which is conducted in the national and state level.

You can appear for the exams like IIT JEE,AIEEE,BITS,VIT and other state entrance exam like UPSEE,CET and many more .There are some colleges which also conducts their own entrance exams like BITS,VIT. These are best private college.

IIT JEE examination is done for admission in the IIT's and eligibility criteria for the examination is you must have passed class 12th with 60% marks at least .Only two attempts are allowed to take for the IIT JEE and that too in consecutive year .

AIEEE examination is done for admission in the NIT's and other government colleges and the students must have passed the class 12th with PCM as a compulsory subjects .Maximum three attempts are allowed for the exam.

BITS pilani examination is conducted by the the BITS college in that national level and only those students who have passed their class 12th with 80% are eligible to appear for the exam.

Once you will clear these exams then the counselling will be held and where you have to choose your college and streams in which you want to do your engineering .Its a 4 years course .

Career scope in the chemical engineering are ::

You can work in following area::

    Fertilizer Technology
Processing of food and agricultural products
    Paints and Dyes
    Mineral based industries
Prevention and control of environmental hazards
    Recycling metals
    Glass and plastics
    Petroleum refining

    Hello Friend,

Chemical Engineering is really a good line of career. But still you have only completed your 10th, first you have to pass out the 10+2 with PCM subjects.

    P:Physics

    M:Maths

    C:Chemistry

After completing your 10+2, appear in the JEE exam. In order to become an engineer first you should have to clear the entrance exam of JEE which is of two parts:

    1. JEE-Mian
    2. JEE-Advance

    Eligibility Criteria:

    1. The candidate must be 10+2 with PCM from recognized board with at least 60 percent marks.

Now, you are eligible to join the course of Chemical Engineering.
