    COLOR="DarkRed"]According to the Eligibility Criteria:[/COLOR]

    i)For IMA and OTA you must have any degree from any recognized University.

    ii)For Naval Academy you should have B.Sc in Physics or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering(BE).

    iii)For (AFA) you should have the degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering(BE)


    Age Limit:

    i)For IMA:19-24 Years

    ii)For OTA:19-23 Years

    iii)For Naval Academy:19-22 Years

    iv)For AFA :19-25 Years


    They select the students through the


    i) Written Test

    ii)Intelligence & Personality test

    iii)Medical test.

    Exam Pattern

    i) Written Test

    for IMA / Naval Academy / AFA
    All the three papers are of objective type containing the
    English
    General Knowledge
    Elementary Mathematics
    total 300 marks,each paper 100 marks.

    for OTA
    All the two papers are of objective type containing the
    English
    General Knowledge
    total 200 marks,each paper of 100 marks.

    ii)Intelligence & Personality test :Generally here checks the Personality of the candidate,GD,group planning, physical fitness test, interview, small lectures on general issues & psychological tests. etc...

    iii)Medical test.
    After getting selected in interview ,the candidates are called for medical examination which is conducted by Military Hospitals.

    Pre-Commission training After getting final selected the candidates are called for Training.

    Union Public Service Commission (U.P.S.C) conducts the entrance exam for National Defense Academy (N.D.A) .

    The academy consist's of 3 Wings of joint training :

    1. Army .

    2. Navy and

    3. Air Force.

    To be into N.D.A is considered as prestigious .

    The N.D.A exam is conducted twice in an year .

    Exam Format ::

    1. Written Round .

    2. Interview rounds .

    3. Group of Tasks and Medical .

    Eligibility criteria for NDA-I/NDA-II exam:

    Education qualification:

    Minimum candidate should complete 12th class with PCM stream.

    Age Limit: Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

    Citizenship: Indian

    NDA-I and NDA-II exam are conducted twice in year, because the person who was not able to attend for NDA-I exam, he can apply for NDA-II exam in the same year, without having gap between the education.

    NDA-I exam notification:

    Issue of application form from 31st Dec 2011 to 30th Jan 2012.

    Exam will held on 15th April 2012.


    NDA-II exam notification:

    Issue of application form from 5th May 2012 to 4th June 2012.

    Exam will held on 19th Aug 2012.

    As you want to become a Indian Army Officer,you can take any stream in 12th class from recognized university.If you want to become an Indian Air Force/Indian Navy,then you should take only PCM stream in 12th class to eligible for Air Force and Navy.To join in Indian Army/Indian Navy/Indian Air Force you should appear NDA exam.This exam is conducted by upsce twice in year.

    Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
    For Air Force/Navy:Candidate should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university
    For Army:Candidate should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
