    you can become IAS from any stream.
    as you are young now so, i would suggest you competition success magazine.
    comes every month.
    and easily available in book shop.
    other minimum eligibility criteria is
    for apply in these examination you have to be
    Graduate from recognized university around 50% marks.
    age-between 21 to 28.

    hi,
    You can chose any subject after 10th to become IAS officer.

    I.A.S exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year.
    eligibility criteria are:-
    - pass graduation from recognized university with any stream.
    - must be citizen of India.
    - Number of attempts
    for open category:-4
    For ST/SC category:-7
    Age limit
    for open category:-21-30 year
    For OBC category:-21-33year
    For ST/SC category:-21-37 year

    Hello friend !!

    IAS -- Indian Administrative Service .



    The Eligibility for IAS is :

    You must be a Graduate in any discipline.
    Your age must be in between 21 to 30 years only.
    And you must be a citizen of India.

    The best to choose after 10th in order to become IAS Officer is Commerce subject in Intermediate.

    The one you can select from the Intermediate course are :

    CEC -- Civics Economics Commerce,
    MEC -- Maths Economics Commerce,
    HEC -- History Economics Civics

    Once you complete the course with dinstinction then you must go for Graduation i.e Bachelors Degree in Commerce.

    You must select B.Com as your main subject in Graduation course.

    B.Com stands for Bachelor of Commerce.

    You must complete this Graduation with a min of 60% as your aggregate.
    This course generally lasts for 3 years only.

    You are only eligible for IAS when you are a GRADUATE.

    The reason behind choosing Commerce field right after 10th standard is :

    You will be finding all simple ways in preparing for IAS.
    You know all the topics from which the questions are asked in IAS.
    The topics which you have covered in all your academics will help you in cracking an IAS Entrance Examination .

    Hi,

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and the exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) . The Notifications about the exam are published in the employment newspapers or it is updated in the UPSC website.



    Eligibility Criteria:

    You must be a graduate from a recognized University.
    Your age Limit must be between 21 years to 30 years.
    You must be a citizen of India.

    Upper Age relaxations for SC/ST is 5 years for OBS it is 3 years.

    After your 10th Standard you can select any one of the Courses like:

    Commerce
    Economics
    Maths
    History
    Civics

    The Above subjects would help you a lot in preparing for your IAS exams as the Subjects that are included in that are same as above so you can choose either:

    CEC(Commerce Economics Civics)
    MEC(Maths Economics Commerce)
    HEC(History Economics and Commerce)


    In your Graduation Course you can choose for BCom which stands for Bachelor in Commerce . The Duration of the course is about 3 years and after that you can apply for the IAS exam. You can apply even during your final year of your BCom Course.

    Attempts:

    General Category can attempt 4 times.
    OBC can attempt 7 times
    SC/ST have no limits.

    You can choose any stream to become an IAS officer.
    The minimum qualification is the completion of graduation.
    IAS is one of toughest jobs to acquire so better you start preparation early.
    -Be familiar with current affairs.
    -Better to study monthly magazines based upon competitive exams like these.

    There is no specific stream that you have to choose after 10th in order to become an IAS officer.
    So you can take any stream that you wanted to and the stream in which you have interest.

    And you have to first complete the graduation because the minimum educational qualification needed for the IAS is Graduation in any field from any recognized University.


    THE STAGE OF SELECTION:

    1)CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST
    2)MAINS EXAM
    3)PERSONAL INTERVIEW

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE EXAM IS:


    1)You must be an INDIAN Citizen

    2)Your educational qualification must be a graduation in any field from any recognized University.

    3)If you are in the final year of graduation then also you are eligible for the exam.

    4)Your age must be between 21 years to 30 years.

    Relaxation for the Reserved categories
    • FOR SC/ST : 5 years
    • FOR OBC : 3 years
    5)NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:

    Hi dude ,

    It does not matter in which group you are in your 12th standard you need to complete your Graduation from a recognized university !

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

    IAS is include in the services which come under civil services.

    Civil service exams are conducted by UPSC.

    This exam is conducted every year to recruite IAS,IPS,IFS officers.

    The exam is conducted in 2 stages:-

    1)Preliminary and

    2)Mains.

    To appear for this exam`s you need to be a graduate from reconized university.

    General candidates have 4 attempts.

    OBC candidates have 7 attempts.

    SC/ST candidates hae no limit.

    Notifications will be releaseint he month of Feburary.

    Last date of applying is 5th of march 2012.

    Eligibility Criteria For IAS Exam :

    graduate with any stream from a recognized college.
    age should be between 21 to 30 years if you fall into general category .There is relaxation is given to reserved caste students in upper age limits and no of attempts .

    35 year is upper age limit for SC/ST
    33 years is upper age limit for OBC

    No of attempts ::
    4 for general students
    7 for OBC students
    No limit for SC/ST

    To become IAS you have to apply for civil service exam which consist of preliminary exam ,main exam and interview
    If you clear preliminary exam only then you will get select for main exam and interview.

    A. Preliminary Examination


    PAPER I: is of 2 hours and 200 marks

    PAPER II:Is of 2 hours and 200

    Both papers will consist of Objective Type questions only.

    B. Main Examination


    PAPER I:

    One of the Indian Languages chosen from the prescribed list is of 3 hours and 300

    PAPER II:Is of English of 3 hours and 300 marks

    PAPER III:Is Essay of 3 hours of 200

    PAPER IV: Optional Subject 1 of 3 hours and 300 marks

    PAPER V:Optional Subject 1 of 3 hours and 300

    PAPER VI:Optional Subject 2 of 3 hours 300 marks

    PAPER VII:Optional Subject 2 of 3 hours and 300 marks

    Dear friend it is too early but if you really prepare from right now by keeping only one goal in your mind then definitely you can become an IAS officer.
    To become IAS officer first step is to complete your 12th standard,choose any stream in 11tg stream of your interests & then pass 11th & 12th standard respectively then go for graduation in any discipline form a recognized university/college.
    After completing your graduation you will be eligible to appear in IAS exam.In IAS exam you will be ask to take any one optional subject for the tests. Following are the tests conducted by UPSC for IAS exam: -
    >CSAT
    >Mains
    >Interview test

    If you qualified CSAT then you have to appear for mains test & it is not easy to qualify so in order to qualify mains test you must follow the below chart:-

    hii...

    Bachelorís degree of a recognised university is required with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring

    soo..you have to choose science strem for IAS..
