If you want to become a Chartered Accountant in future and you are quite sure
about your career plan then you should blindly take Commerce in the 10+2 level.

If you study commerce at 12th level then you will get basic idea of many topics which you
will have to study for accounts. So you will find many things familiar and this
will help you a lot while doing CA.

    Alternately
    1. You can join CA course after 10+2 in any displine.
    2. You can also join CA course after graduation, provided that you should have at least
    50% marks in B.Com.
or 55% marks in graduation (without Maths. as a subject in Graduation)
or 60% marks in graduation (with Maths. as a subject in Graduation).

There is no such particular stream which should be opted in order to become a chartered accountant because a candidate
belonging to any stream can appear for the concerned examination(as notified by the institute).
So, you can select any stream according to your preference. But yes if you opt for commerce as your stream, then you
would have much ease in pursuing chartered accountancy.the reason being that some of the basics of accountancy that you
are required to know in advance, form an integral part of commerce stream as well.

Re: Which stream should I choose in 11th if I want to become a Chartered Accountant in future?

There is no specific criterion with regard to the subject area to be pursued in 11th class. Candidates can pursue 11th class in any stream as per their interest area provided it is taken from a recognized institute. But on the other hand, it is better to take up Commerce stream in 11th class if you are interested to pursue CA course. CA course basically involves accounting concepts hence a commerce background will be an added advantage to learn concepts from the basic level itself. You can appear for CPT exam after 12th class. This is an entry level exam which you need to pass to join IPCC which is the second level of CA course.

In order to be a chartered accountant one should take Commerce after 10th class. However you can go for CA if you are from Science stream but taking Commerce as a stream helps in many ways. It gives an brief idea about the basic knowledge and its also easy to clear CPT(common proficiency test) which has to be cleared in order to enter in CA.
This is because there are 4subjects that are required to be studied in order to clear CPT
    1.Accountancy 50 marks Minimum 25 marks
    2.Economics 50 marks Minimum 25 marks
    3.Business studies 50 Marks Minimum 25 marks
    4.Business law. 50 Marks Minimum 25 marks
You have to score 100 marks aggregate but the percentage per subject should be 50%.
If you have an idea of all the subjects it will be easier for you to clear CPT.
After clearing CPT you have to enroll yourself for IPCC. After clearing IPCC you have to register for Articleship.
CPT is held twice in a year, you can enroll yourself for June session and december session. The examination fee ir Rs.6500.

    Hello Dear Friend.............

When you pass your 10th standard, you are at an age where you really don’t know what to do –--------------------

you are not matured enough and most of the out come or the admission depends upon the marks you have secured in 10th standard...............

1.........if you like animals / plants and trees – Go in for science. DO the same with other subjects as well............

2.If you are tilted towards numbers, finance and like to crunch numbers – Commerce may be the side for you................

3.If you are creative person – like drawing, painting, arts, acting, dancing and all other creative stuff – you should opt for Arts stream. ......................

If you are really good at Mathematics ……go for M.P.C stream……

Or Otherwise ……If you are interested …..in science…..then go for
    Bi.P.C stream/……..

    Decision all depends…..on your interests…..and goals ….mostly….

    For C.A ..............

You must go for ......M.E.C .......stream............

    Take a good decision....
