Graduation is the qualification required to apply for this post. There is no preset criterion that one should opt for a particular subject to do graduation. So you can do graduation in any subject areas of your choice. Try to select the course depending on the papers you select for the mains. Make sure the course that you are opting is from a recognized institute. You need to appear for UPSC Civil services exam to get selection for IAS post. If you are able to clear written exam you will have to attend personal interview too.

Re: Which stream to opt after 10th if I want to become an IAS officer in future?

    Hi friend,

There is no such thing like you need to opt for a particular group after 10th to become a IAS officer.

Go for the course in which you are interested in.

In order to apply for IAS exam you need to have a bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

After getting the bachelor's degree you need to give the exam for civil services.

If you get through the written test then followed by interview then you would definitely become a IAS officer.

Hope i have helped you in getting the relevant information.

    All the best

    Thanking you....
