To become an architect you need to get 55% at 10+2 level and mathematics should be one of your main subject.

Thus i would suggest you to go for physics, mathematics, chemistry.

Remember to study B.Arch one needs to give the entrance exam. Its quite tough so start preparing for the entrance exam side by side right from class 11 itself.

You should opt for the science stream. You must choose Physics, Chemistry and Maths as a subject. Start preparing for the engineering entrance exam during 11th standard. You will be eligible to appear for the exam in 12th standard. The results of the engineering entrance exam is normally declared close to the 12th standard results. Since you wish to become an architecture you can apply for the B.Arch course. For admission to this course along with engineering entrance score you will have to submit the NATA score. You can apply for all these exams online.

Normally there are four streams to opt in 11th standard.They are:-

• Science with Maths
• Science with Biology
• Commerce
• Arts

But you have only the first option to select in your 11th class i.e..,Science with Maths because Architecture is a Science related stream.

You should have to study Physics and maths subjects in your 11th and 12th standard in order to do Architecture degree in future.
Its one of the compulsory criteria that 12th maths and physics students only can apply for architecture course.

After 12th you have to crack any of the entrance exam for getting admission in B.Arch colleges.

Exams are:-
All India Engineering Entrance Exam(AIEEE) conducted by CBSE department.
National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA) conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies and Architecture.

If you got qualified any of these two exams with good rank then you can get seat in reputed institutes.

There are no specific subjects to choose in 11th so as to become an architect .But personally I think choosing Engg. graphics as one of your subjects along with physics,chemistry and maths will surely help you a great deal.
As an example,for getting architecture course seat into the much respected NITs you need to write the seperate entrance examination for architecture,but there is no specific 11th subject specifications.

to get into an architecture college either by all india entrance exam/state level/individual
you are not asked which stream you are frrom..
You can choose science/arts/comerce..
it is your choice..

While still in high school, you should plan a strong college preparatory program with courses in

• English, humanities subjects, mathematics, including geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and pre-calculus, and physics.

Art courses -

• drawing, painting, sculpture, or photography

- will be helpful in developing your ability to visualize and conceptualize, both important skills to an architect.

Elective courses in computers and business will be extremely helpful in preparing for a career in architecture.

Mpc is always better , as when u write Arch exam , u have analytical reasoning and some maths q?

when you opt for science u need to work for hard for ipe , when u take MPC this would be very easy for you to prepare drawings for your arch exam,

Hi

Architecture is one of the most creative courses around. This is a full time 5 year graduation program.

As you may know, that once a student passes out of Class 10th boards, he/she is given 3 choices of streams to choose from :- SCIENCE COMMERCE ARTS !

So out of these, Science has to be elected if you wish to take up the Architecture Career. Some of the other Eligibility Criteria's for this course are :-

1. You must be a minimum 12th pass from ANY recognized board of Education or any CBSE/ICSE school with over 50% aggregate in it.

2. You must have done it in the Science Stream.

3. If you want to take admission in the Government Colleges of Architecture, then you have to sit for the AIEEE Exam for Architecture.

AIEEE - All India Engineering Entrance Examination

This is conducted by the CBSE every year in April. So you got to sit for this exam, and score within the top 2000 Architecture rankings.
Then you can get some good seat in government college. Otherwise the private colleges are always open.

To become an Architect, you must have Mathematics as the Main subject in 11th and 12th.

If you want to B.Arch in future, opt Mathematics (which is compulsory) in 11th class.

Other subjects you may take as Physics, Chemistry, English, etc.

After completing your 10+2 with Mathematics, you will have to appear for B.Arch Entrance Exams.

There are many entrance exams for this course but some of the major entrance exams are [COLOR="rgb(153, 50, 204)"]AIEEE and NATA.[/COLOR]

After qualifying these entrance exams with good ranks, you will get admission in good colleges.

If you are interested to do ARCHITECT in your future you need to have following subjects in
10+2 level

Compulsory subjects:-
Physics Chemistry Maths

Optional subject :-
Computer Biology Physical education

You must score 60% at 10+2 level or equivalent senior secondary examination.
After that you need to give AIEEE arch exam to get into ARCHITECTURE

After Arch. exam you need to go for counselling to get colleges of ARCHITECTURE.

YOU have to choose Science stream with PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY,MATHS & have a minimum 55% in PCM.
After that you have to give a Entrance exam AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance exam) or NATA(National Aptitude Test in ARCHITECTURE )
& you have to crack any of the exam for getting good B.Arch college.BUT for this you have to prepare since class 11th take a coaching classes for these exams.
