SSC Tax Assistants Exam

Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the Tax Assistants Exam for the recruitment of qualified aspirants to fill in the vacancies incurred within the various departments of Central Government. Structure and Pattern of the SSC Tax Assistants Exam

It is an objective type test that consists of two sections. The first part comprises of English language, grammar and comprehension questions. In the second part, there will be questions on common awareness and arithmetic. Each part will be for 100 marks. The time duration of the test is 2 hours each.

Qualification Criteria for SSC Tax Assistants Exam

The eligibility requirement to apply for the test is a pass in the graduate degree in any streams. Candidates ought to have done the Bachelors’ program from a recognized University. They should also have basic computer expertise with data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer. In addition, they should be within the age group of 20 – 27 years. Reserved category applicants can benefit relaxations in age according to the Government norms.

Examination Fees

Those who are applying through the offline ways have to remit Rs. 100/- as examination fee. The payment should be made via Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS). Applicants can obtain the same from the General Post Offices across India. SC/ST and PH category aspirants are exempted from paying examination fee. Moreover, there is no application fee for ex-servicemen and female applicants.
